Fellaini update

It's actually not a huge loss if he's (and knowing our recent history) injured for the year. We are deep at his position: Neville and Hetiniga could play the position well, plus Arteta is back too. We might get to see what a rt. side of Donovan and Coleman as well.

Fellani may currently be the better player but losing Saha would be a much more massive blow.

It'll also keep the Citys and Chelsea's from bidding on him as well.

Maybe we'll see Rodwell and Arteta playing together then?Or more of Coleman.

Just trying to put a positive spin on things lads, it's hard.

Bit of a nonsense thread this.

He hasn't been sent down to the specialist yet because of the swelling, and I saw him extend and contract the foot on the pitch with his boot off.

so definitely NOT a ligament rupture.

He only couldn't put weight on it. so at the most will be a tear which is a month to 6 weeks out, and he'd of gone to see the specialist to see if there was any way of speeding up his return

you always get these bullshit stories going round.

Ankle sprain

The sprained ankle - When would an operation be appropriate?

When is an Operation Appropriate After an Ankle Sprain or Ligament Rupture?

The most common scenario is if the conservative (non operative) route fails to get the ankle better.

Operative intervention is used for two sets of symptoms, which may co-exist. These ongoing symptoms following an ankle sprain are either pain at the level of the ankle or instability from the ankle. If, following an ankle sprain the ankle is "just" painful then an arthroscopy may be all that is required. At arthroscopy any areas of loose cartilage or inflamed tissue (synovitis) or scar tissue (arthrofibrosis) can be removed from the joint. The timing of ankle arthroscopy following an ankle sprain is open to discussion depending on individual wishes/requirements.

There is debate (and evidence both ways) about whether operative repair of the ligaments early, without first failing conservative treatment, is justified.

Basically, they arn't going to do a single thing until the swelling subsides.

Then reassess the injury then.

Anyone saying he's out for the season needs to behave, as he hasn't seen the specialist yet for reassessment.

l c a b, you're doing great mate.
You're one of the reason I'm still visiting this forum.

Climb down of your horse mate.

From what you've said, it sounds like early indications are that its a bad one. Hopefully it's not as bad as feared. Evertonians are doing what Evertonians naturally do, trying to put a optimistic spin on it.

People are going to have opinions like "Unless his ankle is broken or severely damage I can't see him missing more than a month, maybe month and half.", don't take them so personally. Others, like Ghost said, are used to other forums. Don't take it to heart.

Dan , I'm not on me horse , mate . People have a pop . I can't let it slide . He does this for us . So , I defend him .
Being honest , I'm starting to get a bit too wound up lately , which is coinciding with this forum getting lots of new members from other sites . There may be a conection .
I was uny ever trying to sort us . This site , here . So was he .
Think we both best hang our boots up .

P.S. to all other quotes ; nice one .
