Mason Holgate

I like him, but I can't see Koeman putting a bullet in the club captain for him I'm afraid

If Jags gets the axe, it'll be because we've bought someone better in January

I'd play both Pennington and Browning ahead of Holgate if I'm honest, especially at CB, and once they're fit I'd expect that to be the pecking order. If it's RB we're talking about I might think differently

Pennington is a clogger. He's just this generation's Hibbo.

Koeman is ruthless. If he thinks M450N H0LG8 can do better he'll put him in.

Really?

I mean, he didn't play Davies against Chelsea instead of Tommy the Clev did he?

There's far more sensible arguments to be made of Davies getting in instead of Clev than Holgate ousting Jags in my humble opinion

Whether Davies is better than Cleverley or not, throwing him into midfield away at Chelsea would not have been good for him. Matic and Kante would have eaten him alive. Put himself about when he came on, but it was 5-0 and they'd stopped trying. If i remember right, they nearly got in for a 6th after pinching it off him easily in midfield.

Coming in alongside Gueye at home to Swansea will give him a good chance to impress.

pennington is one of the worse players I've seen play for this club, big slow and terrible at football. browning looked decent before his injury to be fair, but [Poor language removed] hell pennington?

dog of a player

Pennington? Are you messing?

He's 22 and has looked out of his depth every time hes played. Will make a solid lower league career but hes nowhere near making it at Everton.

Completely disagree

Has looked assured every time out

Not flashy, but doesn't need to be. Confident, strong and a hard worker

Will achieve a lot for this club if given the chance

He's clearly the best young defender we have IMO. Notice I said. "Defender" and not "Boss Tekkers Wizard", which is seemingly what every young player needs to be these days to get any credit
