Men against boys. No intensity. Moyes got slated for never winning away at the top teams and that was just as bad. 3 attempts all game is not good enough, I don't care who we're playing.

Wow take a chill pill mate, at 1-0 everyone around would of took a draw, they've spent years putting a multi-multi million pound squad of top players together. Koeman had a month with el coco's mentalist barnpot idealism, he's done a decent job for me at least x

That's precisely why we have to acquire an attacking game, because we dont even show it against Bournemouth of Palace at home. Sunderland away second half is looking like the aberration this season.

This manager has had eight games and one transfer window to change things.

I hardly think he was expecting to have us playing like Barcelona after two months in charge.

In that time, he will have hoped to have us picking up points and making us difficult to beat.

Given that only one previous Everton manger has had a better start than Koeman after eight league games, and that we've only lost one league and have the second best defence in the league, currently, then I'd say he's done exactly what he set out to.

We've had a good start. I think Koeman and co deserve some credit instead of being slated because we haven't won every game under his tenure.

When I saw our opening fixtures up against Liverpool's i expected us to be ahead of them. Its been a decent start without getting too carried away. The direction we go in post Christmas will determine whether we are in for success under Koeman or not. Hopefully its upwards.

Liverpool have done exceptionally well, tbf. More away games and played against more top teams than us. Hopefully they get battered tomorrow and the bubble bursts, but I see only a top four finish for them this season imo.

No, he's done well enough and we did need to get a defence together again. But the challenge to play more of an attacking game starts before even transfer windows. It;s about atrocious transition from defence to attack and against teams like Palace at home we should be doing that all night long. Yes, better players will give him options, but from what i've seen so far Koeman is going to be a cautious manager and the football will be a lot more direct involving longer passes and shorter moves.

It's been eight games.

I'll take his methods, and his results so far, over the previous manager's.

Excellent performance from Everton there. Incredible goal by Lukaku, what a player he is.

Player ratings , can't be arsed to do all of them

Stekelenburg: 10
Williams 9
Jagielka 5
Lukaku 9
Snivelley - (minus) 10000 the cowardly little ratfink

Barry 9

Every picture tells a story:

On the left City heat map / Everton's on the right.

Toughest away game of the year. Best team in the league and Koeman, going with what he's got, got it bang on. Solid result.

1 defeat in 8.

More than happy.

Can understand you wanting to take positives and all. But 'the toughest away game of the year' and 'best team in the League' is debatable, we got out of jail there, we wasn't very good......at all. As good as City we're in that 1st half, we were awful, incapable of stringing any sort of pass together, simple balls were going astray. Yeah, it may well be a good point, but overall that performance wasn't very good at all. Stek doesn't save them 2 pens and you'd be on here moaning that Koeman got it wrong. Fine lines.
