Your the one wanting to splash the cash on crap, your the one who can't see a correlation between us taking a gambol on Niasse and splashing £30 mil on Hart.

What is it with this thread and people comparing Hart with Niasse? Absolutely no correlation at all. Hart has won titles in the league we compete in, he's played in the champions league, he's clearly worthy of our squad.

I fully understand the term sweeper keeper, if he can't do that at Citeh what happens here if RK requires it, genius Hart can't grasp a simple proposal like that just as he can't hold on to a ball.

PG wants a ball playing goalkeeper like Neuer, someone who can pass long and short and build play from the back. Clearly, he doesn't think that is Joe Hart. Fine. Unless we're hiring PG as manager any time soon, it's not a problem we will have with Joe Hart, in the same way Mancini and Pellegrini haven't had that problem with him.

I still maintain the fundamental truth that Hart will be an upgrade on what we have already is nonsense

How on earth is that a "fundamental truth"?

Stek has had a few good performances and seems a shrewd signing. Joel had a good run in towards the end of last season. However, if there is any fundamental truth here, its that Joe Hart has been performing at a far superior level to both of these guys for several years.

people actually whinging at the thought of us signing Hart. Christ alive.

We could potentially go from having Howard and Joel (as much as he's a cult hero) to Hart and Stekelenburg as our first choice and back up and people are still not happy.
I agree last season would have played Precot cables keeper to send Timmy on his way now we are possibly in for England's top keeper and have doubts how times changelollol

If Ronald Koeman and Steve Walsh want him then I'm happy. Yes he had a bad Euros but is he a bad keeper? No. The price for a permanent signing being bandied around is ridiculous but that's the modern game. I don't think Bolasie was worth 25mill. But when the world knows you are owned by a billionaire then that's the prices you pay!!

I'd love Hart, but he was poor for England this summer. No matter though - may lower the price on him.

Is miles better than Howard was. Honestly put in Howsrd for Stekelenberg in these first two games and we probably come away with 1 point at most. A good keeper will give us a points boost that not many other teams will get because most had very good keepers last season anyway.

Hart is overrated imo, but he's still a vast, vast improvement on what we've got and have had for the past few years. It would be a great signing for us.

Hart would signal more intent and strengthen this great football club. £15m would probably prove a bargain. I am not sure about some of the transfer fees I've seen mentioned. there was talk of a £40m move not so long ago.
