Ian Doyle in the Echo reckons we need to sign this fella to make some sort of statement. What rubbish im not intrested in statements. All i care about is whether someone is good enough to play for Everton or not.As it is im happy enough with Stekelenburg manning the goal for now. That Ian Doyle fella always seems to write articles with a belittling tone towards Everton every Sunday.Outside of Phil Kirkbride and Greg O'Keefe that paper really has some poor journalists.

I do think Hart would be a good keeper, but I dont really think making a "statement" is all that important. Lets face it, no one will care how high priced a signing we made if this isnt a good season, and on one will care at all if we dont sign a superstar and finish top 6. A statement is making Europe, anything less is just pretend.

To be fair, we started the summer hoping for the likes of Mata, Witsel, Koulibaly etc who would have been big statement signings and helped the profile of the club. The profile is important to help us attract new, better players going forward.

Hart, whatever some people think about him, is the biggest name we seem to have a potential chance of signing.

so whats the point in getting steklenburg - is he going to want to sit on the bench? Stek was probably offered first team football.

PG wants a ball playing goalkeeper like Neuer, someone who can pass long and short and build play from the back. Clearly, he doesn't think that is Joe Hart. Fine. Unless we're hiring PG as manager any time soon, it's not a problem we will have with Joe Hart, in the same way Mancini and Pellegrini haven't had that problem with him.

Seriously Pep sounds like a f* w* to me and can see how he rubs people like Mourinho and Zlatan the wrong way. He's going to run into problems down the track when he alienates other existing Man City players because he insists on playing the one way. He had no problems at Barca because they were all from the academy, and at Bayern the domestic league was a cake walk. But he's going to be challenged every week the prem.

Honestly there's no way Pep will win it in his first season. Mourinho has a huge advantage over him this year.

Can't see this ball playing keeper working in the league either

Well Bravo deal is agreed so I guess we'll probably get Hart

The sight of his snivelling scrunched up face in our nets might just push me over the edge.
