Well said by Coleman, patience is indeed a virtue, but I think he got to stay ambitious, he is already 21 and it's time he should start breaking into the first team more often.

The quickest learning path he could take is by playing more often, so he should always aim to get into the starting line-up.

I don't think Coleman need to worry about not playing against Chelsea, Yobo is out till end of December with a Hamstring injure and Distin is a doubt for the game as well, he is most likely to play some part against Chelsea even if he doesn't start the game.

I think Chelsea at Stamford Bridge might be a bit too much for him at this stage. Moyes will start Neill there for sure.

Pity that I cannot play that clip Dave. It needs Realplayer which I do not want on my PC. However at 21, Moyes should be giving him more game time but as we all know it takes a lot to get Moyes off his faves.

It wasn't too much, tbh. Steven saying Coleman was raw but promising; Everton are still low on confidence.

I think Coleman has shown he can handle the situation if he's played in a familiar position. He'll play lots more times this season, no question.

Ever since Moyes has taken over as the club manager, I have been crying out, for a pacy full-back on both side, I cannot hide my delight when Baines arrive from Wigan and without a doubt with Pienaar, Arteta & now Billy as well has strengthen our left side attack more, which leave our right side?

Hibbert has been a great servant to us and I am sure everyone is grateful for his service, but Hibbert very need to ask himself this question "How many games this season, when he play as a right-back, and he has given one of his better performance?"

No doubt he did alright for few games as a CB, but he is a RB not CB and there was only one game this season I could think of that I was delighted with his performance, which made me says "If, Hibbert could play like this on a regular basis, it would take someone real special to displace him!"

But sadly since then none of his performance came any where close to that performance. Neill is definately a solution to the right-back position for the time being, but as we are short on CB, Neill has to join Heitinga to fill up the void left by Yobo & Distin.

I feel it is time we should start using Coleman, I bet everyone was worried the Spurs game was only one-off, but again at the Bate's game I feel he coped pretty well defensively and had it been we got someone who could create and hold up ball and offer Coleman more opportunity to come up and support the attack, I think his attacking side for that game would have been just as impressive as the Spurs game.

Hence I think it's time we start him instead of Hibbert, is time Hibbert has competition beside Neill, I think it does Hibbert no good when he is almost gurantee to play most of our games without trying harder.

So do I, especially against lesser sides at Goodison. Hibbert offers nothing going forward, he knows his limits and just passes on responsibility. He very rarely moves forward with the ball and he can't link up with his winger, he simply doesn't have the natural ability.

Hibbert's a specialist, we all know that. He's not going to suddenly change his game and I think Moyes has to realise this.

If Moyes wants to use central midfielders outwide then they need support, a fullback with the ability to bring the ball forward, link with his fullback and who has the pace and athleticism to get beyond and give him an outlet.

Baines offers that to Pienaar down the left, I'd like to see Seamus Coleman given a chance with Bilyaletdinov. We saw the link up against Spurs when Bilyaletdinov played him in and Coleman created Saha's goal.

Id wouldnt bring him in at the moment i would wait untill we get the whole back line sorted, i like Hibbert and i think hes a great defnder who does a half decent if not limited job getting forward - he holds no surprises but i wouldnt underestimate his expierence one bit, as he has proved in his versatility and leadership qualites this season.

Like i say untill the backline is sorted i wouldnt give Coleman the nod and we actually record a clean sheet. We are certainly making and socring chances now we jsut cant keep them out.

If as i suspect Coleman has the quality it will always shine through and he will get oppurtunites if we can become more consistent gradually being eased in - but for now we need Hibberts expirence IMO.

I honestly think something as simple as this could make a massive difference. If we are going to become a proper attacking team, as it looked like we were trying to be with the team selection and performance against Birmingham, then having balance on both flanks is a must. I've said it before, but the number of times our attacks break down and have nowhere to go because of Hibbert really is unbelievable. Having an outlet on that side would make us so much harder to defend against. The only problem is we would need a first choice centre back pairing to do that really, as they would be coping on their own for a lot of the time.

It good Coleman is coming through....

But anyone else thinking that Kyle Naughton would've watched that Spurs game and gone "That could've been me?"

Personally i think Hibbert is the unfair catharsis for absolutley everything that goes wrong during a game - i think its more habit then analysis.

I think hes been our best leader since pip was out, i remember him having to come across a number of times in that Spurs game to cover for Coleman - and thats thing really expierence.

hasn't exactly got a choice has he? do you actually go the game? Hibbert put in his fair share of crosses on sunday, he was attacking and put decent balls into the box!

He offers nothing going forward and if we want to play that attacking fullback system you've talked about then we need someone who actually offers some support to his winger.

Exactly like Baines and Pienaar down the left handside. We are clearly struggling to break down teams at home and we need points, Coleman or even Neill would be better options than Hibbert.

Coleman might not be ready but that has to be proven, he's played three times and had three good games. Give him a go, if it doesn't work we can always play Hibbert there.

Baines isn't as solid in defence as Hibbert. What we lose in attacking football we gain in defense with Tony. You can't have it both ways. Hibbert should stay!

Well he's had 7 years or so to buy a winger, or someone with pace and dribbling ability. He clearly favours central players outwide so why not play an attacking fullback and make the system effective?

I do, and the amount of times I saw Hibbert pick up the ball so many times in an advanced position and pass sideways. It's easy to wip a cross in from a deeper position, what I want to see is someone who can get beyond Bilyaletdinov and give him an outlet. Hibbert doesn't do that, he doesn't even attempt to.
