Donovan is a good mate of Tim Howards, I've no doubt that he will influence him.

Will some one give Sharpy the bleach:lol:

I believe he would be a great addition even if it is only for the rest of the season, we needed someone who has a positive attitute and we needed number.

Just hope this would be one of the many loan deals we would be getting this January.

I'd like him, especially on loan.

He's a proper grafter, likes a tussle when I've seen him, and has the odd touch of class and we need bodies.

At 27 - theres probably a reason why he is still in America.

It has zero to do with his playing ability, which is top notch in my view. The reason is he tried Europe before but couldn't settle. But that was Germany. At least here he'd have no language issues, bar the odd bit of rough Scouse.

He couldn't get a game for Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich wern't even interested in extending his loan

Possibly a useful extra body but not one to get over excited about.

Better than Beckham !

Well he's better than David Beckham, judging by this info in the piece in the Guardian today :

The former Leverkusen forward has just enjoyed an outstanding campaign with LA Galaxy, winning the club's Golden Boot award for the fifth season in succession and also being named the MLS's Most Valuable Player. He is also the all-time leading goalscorer for the USA and flourished last season after regaining the LA Galaxy captaincy from David Beckham.
