How is it? How? It's the most defeatist Everton team I've ever seen, the moment we go a goal down to a decent side we just fold. We still play for 0-0 draws away at the top sides, and nearly always get beat. There's nothing different, our manager is praising bore draws against Watford and Palace. How has our psyche improved? We still bottle big games as well, as evidenced by the League Cup semi final
Talking about the fan base you utter biff

Sorry, came in half way through, thought you were talking about us and the FA cup ;)

Hey one thing leads to another though, finish 16th each season, win the FA cup, then Europa cup, then Champions League ;)

Hey if Leicester can win the league.. anything can happen.

That's the spirit :)

August is another country and who knows what lies ahead next season ;)

If you can't see the difference between how Moyes got us in a comfort zone and was happy to stay there with absolutely no pressure put on him from either fan or press and a man who is struggling to keep his head above water as all guns are firing at him in the latter days of his tenure then I can't help you.
He blew £13.5m on some no Mark, which could have been spent on a player that could have improved the team for the second half of the Season. I can't honestly think of any pluses with this fella.

He wears a nice waist length jacket at the mo when he is in his technical area,, which is quite nice !!

Moyes dourness took over us, the entire perception from the media, other fans and our own fans of 'plucky little Everton' was down to him to serve his own ego. This club should under no circumstances think like that or be thought as like that
I don't disagree. I'm not defending Moyes, I just don't see why you think things have changed.

After we beat City in the home leg, Martinez said:
"We showed how far we have come since August. It shows what we have got in the dressing room.We are not getting carried away. We know we have a huge challenge in front of us and are looking forward to the second leg but the performance means more than just a win in the semi-final of the League Cup."

After the second leg he said:
"When you look at the two games we had with Manchester City - we played eye-to-eye and we got very close to getting to a really high level. We should take this as a real inspiration to achieve something special this season."

So basically the first one is him saying 'I know we might be low in the league table, but really we're getting better because we just beat city in a one off game. I am, however, going to immediately point out that we are unlikely to win the second leg, and I want you to remember just how good we were tonight when that happens'.

The second is him saying 'Yeah we lost but we gave it a good go, what more do you want from me? A couple of years ago we'd have come and defended the lead, not taken them on like i did, so wind your necks in'.

His positive language and spin appears to have blinded you to the fact that he's doing exactly the same as Moyes used to do. He's telling us that everything's good, and we should be happy with what we've got - he just does it with a charming smile and an exotic accent rather than being dour like Moyes.
