The whole thing is frustrating to me as I really like the way under Martinez that the younger players are taken care of and given time in the lower leagues, and there seems to be more integration between the planning of the first team and the youth sides. I had visions of creating a production line of young talent to rival anyone. The plans for Finch Farm seem great as well and I think the manager has put a lot of thought and planning into the long term growth and development of the club.

If he can't get results where it counts then I agree it's probably time to go but it would be a shame if the next manager was someone who took less of an interest in the long term future of the club and the development of young players.
I agree let's hope the board think the same way when picking the next manager

Serious question, what are we waiting for?

The cup shouldn't save him, but the fact he's still here suggests that winning it will buy him another season. Struggling to see how else the board could be viewing this.

Wouldn't be suprised in the slightest if he's under no serious pressure at board room level right now. Our owner we know little about and our chairman just 3 weeks ago claimed "what a manager" about the bloke currently having us sat in 14th.

Ooh, that's not great.

I mean, it's nice to get an insight into what the people at our club think when they don't have to wear a mask in front of the media, but this kind of unrest at the club really isn't what we need.

And then aliens landed and took his phone off him.

Perhaps our chairman wants him to manage one of his stage shows. It could be a perfect fit, he'd actually be encouraged to put words like phenomenal all over the posters. Naturally it would start as a comedy, decend into farce and end in tragedy.

Do people really want us to get beat tomorrow?

I don't know wether its a joke or not
The players need some confidence in the build up to the semi final, tomorrow is our best chance of a result. Martinez won't be getting sacked before the semi, there are too many games and not enough time for a new guy to have any impact.

Barkley was 19 just back from a double leg break and sent out on loan to get game time because of the development he missed

This Martinez youth policy stuff is nonsense
Barkley made one mistake in the opening game of the season, got relegated to the reserves, and then played again around Christmas, off the bench once or twice, then on loan at Wednesday or something.

Moyes had the time to play him, he just didn't.

Martinez has given reasonable prospects game time though, do you think Browning would've even played a minute at right back under Moyes? Probably as a left winger at some point for 10 minutes, and Stones would have about 3 starts, all at right back, and we'd say he's crap. Moyes' policy was safety first, remember?
