If they sack Martinez tomorrow this is the biggest job in English football. There is no opening at Utd yet and the other opening possibly could be at Arsenal. One of the best squads in the league. Major investment. There will be a que by all managers even Mourinho for the post. We are the 4th most successful club in English top flight. Why can't we attract Jose? I think it's a match made. Mourinho is desperate I'm sure to leave a legacy longevity etc. It's the only black mark on a brilliant CV.

I have some doubts. He won the league 5 times, but it's not a hard thing to do when you managing Ajax. He struggled in Europe and that's the worry thing.

Can't comment on De Boer as a manger but I can comment on the difference between the Dutch and English leagues.

If we really mean business then we have to replace Martinez with a proven winner. De Boer isn't one. He may be one day, but not now.

Don't think I've ever been so non-plussed about a result as I was today. Not sure if it's the style of football that I don't like or the fact that none of the players would run through a brick wall to stop the opposition scoring and I've not seen many Everton teams without those type of players before. I think as a fan that gives you some hope but this team has loads of talent but absolutely no balls.

I watched that game again last week. If anyone doubts how we've regressed under Martinez they should do the same. It's like night and day.

I really wanted Roberto to do well, but it's not happening. The Watford goal today was a joke, 3 Watford players at the far post and not a blue to be seen. Even if we win the FA Cup he's toast I'm afraid........
