In all honesty mate he has an absolute monster up top who is entering the prime of his career. I think it'd be a different story if we had kone or Marcus bent up top.
Maybe so but Lakaku still needs the chances to be created, there is very little wrong offensively. A defensive shape and for me the midfield in particular without the ball is were the problem is.

I understand fans being upset with Moyes actions in that transfer window, but he was just doing what he was being paid to do. Its part of what you would expect from the manager of your team. If the boot was on the other foot, how would you view it?

I think you are either missing the point or being very forgiving.

It wasn't the fact that he came in to bid for our players.....it wan't even the derisory offer.....a BOGOF deaf for Baines and the big lad.

It was the sheer arrogance and hypocrisy of the man which stunned us and et idea the good will we retained towards him.

He said "if I was still at Everton and a player got the chance of a big money move to better himself I would never have stood in his way".

(not verbatim)

Oh really?

He cried the house down....righteously as it happened.....when City pulled a similiar stunt with Lescott..

He stood in his way so much that Lescott eventually downed tools to force the move.

I can never understand why managers buy players for the wrong positions, cleverly is a central midielder

I know, it's like moyes with osman....its bizarre and frustrating.

I wish he'd try going 2 up top at home, just to try something new and see if the opposition can adapt to. Instead of playing 2 strikers but one is on the wing and drifts in every now and then

Oh it's awful, we have no shape when lose the ball and the opposition just walk through us. I'm drooling watching athletico Madrid (prior to torre going) literally pressing the hell out if barca, and then forming a barrier.

I've said it since last year, we adopt that and this team would be absolutely flying, it'd be quite scary with the technical ability our players have, to be forcing the opposition and picking possession up 30 yards from goal instead of on our box.....frightening.

Agree, remember these random games in the past two years where we pressed teams from the off - looked better and actually won!?

Why we don't do it all the time i don't know, perhaps injuries, perhaps fitness, perhaps it's Martinez. Either way it all/something needs to change.

I just don't what he sees and why it's not implemented more often, I thinks it's a mixture stubbornness and lack of fitness. I truly believe that are players are not as fit as they should be, they look physically and more importantly mentally drained entering the final 20 minutes of games.

I totally agree with the frustration but out problem is not when we have the ball but how we defend as a team without it. Let's not get confused - in general our attacking play has been very good, discipline defensively as a unit is were the issue is.

...it was mate, granted, but that's gone WAY off the boil now too, even the positive stuff's had the life sucked out of it lately.

Which is an awful, awful shame.

The players are not fit enough to press for 90 mins. Occasionally they can manage 19 mins...

Yeah, we don't even get to enjoy going 2-0 before losing 3-2 any more. We didn't like it when it seemed to be happening week-in, week-out, but at least we were giving the opposition a pummelling and scoring goals for 45 minutes a week.

Our players definitely aren't fit. They can't be or they wouldn't do what you've just described haha.

Without doubt, they are not conditioned optimally. The numero uno of teams I support is the All Blacks...now they are conditioned.
