Tim Howard

Wonder if he will get a Good Bye appearance at Goodison? I think he should myself, won't do any harm. I know everyone wanted him dropped, but lets face it were still no better, Joel might be better, but the side can't defend, he wasn't the only problem...etc
Anyway end of an era, good luck to him, I'm sure he did more good for Everton over the years then bad.
Actually we are better, conceded a lot less since he was dropped

He has been our keeper for a decade. Overall good.

When you spent your youth watching Neville Southall between the sticks then in your mind ( in mine ) no keeper we have will ever really be good enough to replace him but Tim was OK. On his bad days in my mind's eye I could always see Big Nev and wonder what the big man would have done.....totally unfair.

Best of luck.

Nigel Martyn.

Overstayed his welcome by a year, left a sour patch in some fans minds.

Realistically though over his time here he did well and I applaud him for that.

Good luck at your new club Tim.

Was always crap, those who want to applaud him watch every game from a computer screen, hopefully he gets booed off as a reminder of the contempt he has shown to fans

I hope for this too. Hope he enjoys lapping up the last bit of adulation he'll receive when he arrives in the MLS next season, the whopper

SERVANT???

Wish I was paid over 50k a week to be a servant. What's up with fans thinking like this? He was an average employee overall who got paid a vast amount of money. Thanks for the work, in a bit Tim.

Moan, moan, moan..

Yes we all know he should have been moved on 18 months ago, but fans really do have short memories. He's been a great keeper for us, and I think it's harsh to call him "average" when we've had to put up with the likes of Gerrard, Simonsen, Wright, Wessels etc. down the years.

I agree. In all honestly haw can we criticise a player for hanging on. Its not his job to go. Its the manager's to take him aside and say its over. If there is a criticism ( and there is ) it is Bobby Martinez not Tim Howard. Who willingly says "OK I'm knackered"

Tim hung on too long. Any player would. I don't criticise him.
