General consensus of opinion seems to be that Howard is off in the summer (backed up by that kiss and tell story in The S*n as well).

What I wonder is whether or not Joel will be given the chance to make the spot his own or if we will go out and buy a replacement and send Joel back to the bench.

The sensible move IMO would be to let Joel play for the rest of the season and then make a judgement at the end of it and decide whether to buy a new 1st XI keeper or a back-up to Joel

Thats my opinion on it i think!
Im hoping Joel shows he is good enough for number one between now and the end of the season (he is showing at the moment so lets hope it continues)
Then we could go and get a young back up keeper maybe that bentley at southend
