Big worry for me as well. Apart from McCarthy, besic and Barry I just don't see anyone in this team that would be up for the 'fight' of a relegation battle. We'd still be trying to play our 'barcelona' style football in a relegation scrap which would be a recipe for disaster ala Wigan when they got relegated. The man is too stubborn to change his beliefs.

The bigger worry isn't the players in a relegation scrap, Martinez has already been there plenty of times and never changed his style once, the players can try dogs of war it as much as they like, bob will be on the sideline shouting "NOOOOOO pass, pass, go.... wait no pass again and back to tim, phenomenal tim"

Being in that semi is a distraction, we are missing the bigger picture here, its great we are on the verge of a final but we have to get shut of this clown, but obviously we are not going to do that while we are still in that competition. Awkward situation, we have to win on Wednesday, but its just as important he is gone soon, which isn't going to happen if we beat City.

Thing is mate in the past we couldn't afford it in the past but we can now, put it this way, we can't afford to not sack him, whatever we pay him off, climb a few places in the table and i reckon the higher finish might cover that.

We're in exactly the same position in the table 12th but we're 3 points better off (29) than we where last season (26) after 23 games. Its not time for me to turn on him but it is evident he does need to improve or we won't be achieving anything of note. On the plus side we have a semi on wed which we go into with a 2-1 lead.

Its been pretty much 2 years at this point. What do you think he is going to work/improve on? Not being snarky or pedantic, genuinely curious. He's regressed as a manager quite a bit in my eyes. He no longer makes great subs (60 minutes, nailed on), he doesn't change the shape of the team when MAKING said boss subs, he thinks Tim Howard is the answer to a question nobody ever asked.

If you are expecting an upturn in results with Tom Cleverly in the team, you'll be waiting a long time.

Such a painfully average player but you can guarantee he will start on Wednesday, we'll get over run in the middle and he'll go hiding (again)

I despaired when he got brought in. You cannot put Kone, Cleverley et al. into a side and hope they will suddenly be dragged up to standard.

Yet he's performing better than the likes of Barkley, Howard, Stones and Jagielka...?

Cleverley has been one of our better players recently, and I for one, hope he starts ahead of Barkley on Wednesday, with a Besic recovery and Barry.

With no europe this season is a joke.
1 win in 10 with this squad,same tactics which don't work week after week and too scared to drop howard.

I remember reading something on a city forum, and it was actually an excellent point... Basically along the lines of it takes a year for a manager to coach a previous managers tactics out of the team, so he made a point that city had flair and pace from Mancini, and the grit of pelligrini, yet after that it went flat.

It's exactly that here too, we've lost Moyes defensive nous and Martinez is making no sacrifices to stop our defence being leaky, this is the same Martinez who's side conceded 8 x 2 and 9 in a match once when at Wigan.. God help us.

Leicester City are top of the league.

Team spirit and fight for the cause has gone from English football. Too much money and egos from these pampered individuals at the rich established teams.

Leicester never know when they are beaten. They work their socks off, chase every ball and show grit and determination.

We play slow, laboured, walking paced dross.

This says it all really in my opinion. On paper you could say that have a much less talented squad than us.
