past playing career has absolutely nothing to do with how good a coach you are, at all.Inaki bergara. Who you say? Me too! A mediocre Spanish back up keeper throughout his career.

Not correct, actually.I actually completely agree. Wenger, mourinho and ferguson show it's not about the level you play at but your abilities to do the job. However this guy appointed in 2013 has coincided with a horrendous run of form for our keepers, I say keepers, just Howard really. It won't be his fault. Not completely.
Not correct, actually.
Howard had his best season in years, after the appointment of the new GC, Joel actually does come off his line quite often for crosses, but needs game time and confidence to do so, he works closely with Inaki B and has done for a while.
So i don't really think we can say anything against him, we certainly can't blame him for howard being turd now.
He did play really well. The one save from du Bruyne (I think) was really top drawer. Hopefully he'll play at the weekend too.
He would have saved the first one to be fair, but even his best 'eyes shut star jump' would have got him nowhere near the second one. Top drawer save that. Personally, I think Robles displays an air of authority in the box which Howard sadly lost a long time ago. Both of his saves, Howard would have got nowhere near. As now proven, the goalkeeper has been the difference between us winning and losing/drawing games all season

Indeed. Alex Ferguson was a mediocre player, and that didn't show in his management.past playing career has absolutely nothing to do with how good a coach you are, at all.
And yet someone suggested last night he should have done better with the Navas goal.

Chris Woods, who was goalkeeping coach before Inaki, was regarded as a top keeper but widely criticised if I recall correctly as a poor goalkeeping coach.
Quite correct. On the flip side, Roy Keane was a top player but an absolutely appalling manager
