Roberto Martinez discussion

I understand what you are saying and agree to a large extent. However Jags and Baines are getting on and the time will come for them to be replaced but who with new signings or bring up the likes of Galloway who is repeatedly played out of position. I know I will get shot down for this but I was against Garbutt going out on loan,

I like Garbutt but I don't think he'd offer much in terms of defending which is what this team desperately needs right now.

This is what he does, this is how he manages. Forget the 'building with youth' and the 'bigger picture' and all that jizz-jazz...

We'll score, and we'll concede massively. That's what MARTINEZ teams do. We all see it, we all know it & if you didn't you do now.

And if he doesn't address it soon then it's gonna be very, VERY costly.

my confidence has been shot down. I dont really have any expectations anymore. Way too inconsistent. We play beautiful footy every now and then but we wont be winning anything this season. Season over.

You realise we haven't been knocked out of a cup yet this year, right?

Did you expect us to win the league cos if not the 'we won't be winning anything' shout is pretty weird,

Or he should've invested in an experienced centre half for next to nothing..

He was trying to buy Scott Dann for £10million when someone like Robert Huth went for £3million. He spent a ridiculously on Funes Mori - who I do like, but he's a future prospect - rather than someone who will do a job to cover injuries.

I agree about Mori and have said it before. It's a legitimate criticism of Martinez' transfer policy (for the short term) this summer. I think Mori would be sound alongside Jagielka though, like Stones is. But of course, it had to be Jagielka to pick up a long term injury to add to the ones to Baines and Oviedo and leave us relying on kids.

Maybe a new manager will bring some different tactics that aren't 5 years out of date, and we can start playing winning football. Years ago people tried copying this barca total football without the players to do it. Every manager knows how to play us now, only the manager and coaching staff can't see it.
What about all the mangers below him in the league. Can they see it mate?

It's weird how for some reason unknown to me, no matter how much I want to sack him, I believe that he is building something special and will turn it around. Bad result today. Let's focus on Spurs now.

Need to get someone new in before this squad splits up and we end up like Newcastle or Sunderland.
This last season and a half has been too much, my lad is rolling on the floor laughing at us saying we are the best team to watch hands down and not in a good way.
Too many last minute goals not good for my blood pressure too.

The big problem for the club is, if Martinez stays and we carry on like this our best players will want to leave in the summer, we could lose our most talented players in the summer.

A new manager might freshen things up and get the best out of our talented players.

This is the Catch 22.

SOUND THE RELEGATION KLAXON!

Conceded 50 goals last season?

Ah that's sound, we will rectify that by spending £9.5m on a hapless centre-half with zero Premier League experience.

Pivotal period coming up now. The 'easy' run is now over and we have City Chelsea Spurs and two legs of a semi. Continue to defend as we have done and the entire season could unravel.
