And they'll stay if we fire Martinez?

You haven't thought this through mate. It's why I'm here to help you all.

I'm not suggesting we fire him, have I? You not been reading my posts, hurt here like.

They will want wins though and if Martinez can't supply them, what happens? They go.

We've never been as good as we should be for nearly thirty years. Yet Moyes got eleven of them.

Martinez tries to bridge the gap with a young squad who will develop, the only sustainable way of doing it.

Will he get time though? Not with these teds wanting him gone half way through the season.

Our defending is poor! Today, 3-2 up we should have won the match. No excuses for that style and risks that come along with it. He's got good ideas but we don't have the money to sign the sort of players his ideas demand. We have some nice ofensive moves but we are equally inept when it comes to defend a result.

Moyes didn't have such a shiny game plan, but showed results with much less financial support from the board. And he only had one striker scoring goals in one season (Yakubu). Imagine his last team with Lukaku instead of Jelavic or Anichebe.

If he volleyed howard off a cliff he would get back the support of 99% of those who want him out, his bizarre faith in howard will cost him

Have you seen any sign in 2 1/2 seasons now that Martinez has improved on the defensive side of things mate?

All the rest is well and good, but if you can't stop leaking goals and losing points from winning positions consistently you will never do absolutely anything as a team.

Looking at it from a realistic point of view, I am very happy we are developing the young players in the squad right now as they will benefit the teams they end up at tremendously and also we will make a nice profit as a club, but Lukaku, Stones, Barkley will not be here unless we improve as a team - rather than just becoming what we are right now - an exciting team to watch for neutrals

What is frustrating is that Martinez is responsible for ALL of these players making a difference on the field.

For every bit of beautiful flair we have up front we have a dismal defensive back line.

Remember pretty much all of the players below are a direct result of Martinez OR their playing time increased with his management:
Barry
McCarthy
Cleverly
Lukaku
Deulofeu
Stones
Galloway
Funes Moril
Barkley
Kone

So basically he is brilliant when it comes to finding and acquiring talent but not good managing it.

Yep, he also took on a defense with Stones, Jags, Coleman and Baines in it and made it ubber shocking whilst spending nearly as much on our worst defender as nearly all of those cost combined. He's spent decent wedge taking us this far backwards at the back.

Fortunately he's also spent it going forwards and currently that is all that's saving us from being massacred every week.

He's not getting sacked this season unless something goes spectacularly wrong, In-fact i reckon we could finish mid table again next season and he'd still avoid the boot. Only way he gets sacked is if he we get into relegation dogfight which is quite unlikely given how many goals we score.

I hope that when your Geordie hate campaign results in him being fired that you all put your CVs forward for the vacant role.

There's so many "game management" experts on here that Everton can only gain.

I bet Martinez is proper gutted about discussion over the way he organises a defence on GOT.

Martinez won't be sacked regardless so don't worry.

The big problem for the club is, if Martinez stays and we carry on like this our best players will want to leave in the summer, we could lose our most talented players in the summer.

A new manager might freshen things up and get the best out of our talented players.

They're invested in Martinez's project lid. They can see themselves there's a very good young team developing.

I doubt they'll get time though. The Lower Gallogate will have it all destroyed.
