Roberto Martinez discussion

Not quite sure what you are doing to be honest.

I'm judging him purely on results.

I wanted him when we went in for him. He won a trophy with Wigan, so for me was worth a go. Looked like he was going to be proper but that is a distant memory now.

18 months of poor results. If you are happy with that and think it is knee jerk, then you ain't paying much attention to the league table.
In paying attention the league table. And the league cup. And the young players developing. And it being mid season.

All of them. Call it a wider view.

What is frustrating is that Martinez is responsible for ALL of these players making a difference on the field.

For every bit of beautiful flair we have up front we have a dismal defensive back line.

Remember pretty much all of the players below are a direct result of Martinez OR their playing time increased with his management:
Barry
McCarthy
Cleverly
Lukaku
Deulofeu
Stones
Galloway
Funes Moril
Barkley
Kone

So basically he is brilliant when it comes to finding and acquiring talent but not good managing it.

Loads are having a go at clattenburg and he did have a dire game, though personally I think it was a penalty at the end, but you can't ignore our defensive problems entirely and just blame the ref. We're not as good as we should be. We'll be 11th tonight despite having one of the best attacks in the league.
We've never been as good as we should be for nearly thirty years. Yet Moyes got eleven of them.

Martinez tries to bridge the gap with a young squad who will develop, the only sustainable way of doing it.

Will he get time though? Not with these teds wanting him gone half way through the season.

It's easy to come out and start screaming for Martinez to be sacked, but a genuine question, who could we feasibly get in who could do a better job, and why would they do a better job?
They would drop howard for a start.
There are loads of managers out there who could do better with this squad.
Watford found a good manager for a start

Geordies are a load of self entitled fat beauts who go the game with an over inflated sense of self entitlement and thanks to be pressure they've put on their managers they've become tosh for a long, long time.

They also think they can transfer win the league with FIFA players.

Basically 80% of anyone who posts in here after a defeat.

It's not self entitlement to call out underachievement when you see it. As fans we have every right to be questioning what's happening right now.

I know there's plenty of people who think Martinez is on the right track but that's just not what it looks like to me.
