Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Berahino wants to leave West Brom, West Brom want rid of Berahino, on a loan with a view to buy, a young, talented left sided attacker/striker. What's not to like?

they wouldn't sell him for £15m(sp.)?, they're not going to all of a sudden do a loan, in my opinion. would have him here based on talent, for sure.

I heard Neymar is wanting out of Barca because he is constantly in Messi's shadow.

How about a naughty loan-to-buy move?

Yarmolenko may have signed a new deal after the window but you can be certain that it was only signed after the get out clauses
that he insisted on were included.

I think he probably agreed to give Kiev one more season and then be allowed leave for a lesser transfer fee than could be expected for a player of his stature.

Not at all confident he will ever wear the blue of Everton.

Aye, because the majority of people on here can never be wrong...

Barry was finished last season, Kone was useless and would never do anything in an Everton Shirt, Cleverly and McCarthy weren't good enough when they signed, the list goes on.

Bobby sees Joel and Tim everyday in training and he picks Tim, that's good enough for me.
Barry played to much last season
As was nearly playing 3 times a week due to Europe
I think his form this season has proved he was over played by the manger

As for cleverly time will tell if he's good enough

Kone falls into the Howard bracket
Honest player but nowhere near good enough to play for a team expected to challenge for trophies and top 4

It amazes me how some people seem to be only bothered about sticking up for Howard and aren't bothered about the success of the team
And getting rid of the weak links

Even Neville southall tweeted on Monday night
If Howard stays in the centre of the goal it's an easy save

But I'm sure you all know better than one of the greatest keepers of all time

Don't be silly, of course I want us to win games. I just don't see the point at all in constantly slagging off a player who we all know is first choice and will be playing in the next match. Bobby obviously can see there's a problem but he can also see what the option is. He obviously feels that a degraded and sometimes (only sometimes) misfiring Tim is the best option.
Obviously if you know more about Joel's keeping than Bobby does then you might have a point.
Yes he makes mistakes, all keepers do, not every goal is the fault of the keeper though as much as some on here seem to think it is.
I'm not supporting Tim, I'm supporting the keeper who'll be in our goal at the weekend. Slagging him off and booing does nothing to help the situation.

I dont think signing 4 players permanently over two windows is "mass recruitment".

Kone may not be a LW but how else to describe the position...in any case we need a LM / LW.

kone isn't a left winger mate.

also.

Liverpool had a mass recruitment like the one you suggest, failed. spurs did it and failed, Sunderland nearly went down when they did it, qpr did go down when they did, see the pattern?

in fact buying players en mass would only lead to us selling them all again over a 2 year period because clubs who do that are simply buying failure

Makes no sense to me to keep them if we can use the money for one top player to come in off the back of their sales.

Pienaar,Osman,Hibbert,McAleny,McGeady wont get near the team either so just taking wages for nothing and Gibson should be sold in the small window we have while hes fit...

Mirallas is 8 - 10m easy. We knocked back 8m for Naismith so surely his price has remained the same. McGeady gets in 2 - 3m, and Gibson the same.

That's 22 odd million and 120k a week minimum off the wages, with only one of the players really 'missed' if he goes.

Surely that money could tempt a club to part with a player who'd really make a difference to our first team.
