Liverpool fans are ahead of Everton supporters in the banning order league.
Liverpool FC supporters are ahead of Everton in the banning order league, new data shows.
Liverpool fans received more new banning orders than almost any other team in thePremier League last season.
A total of 23 new banning orders were issued to Reds fans between September 2014 and September 2015.
Everton FC fans received five new banning orders last season, and Toffees fans were arrested just 18 times in the year 2014-15.
Burnley were the only other Premier League club last season to have received more new banning orders than Liverpool, with 26 issued.
The Clarets were relegated in May this year. Nationally, only Bristol Rovers - who were in the Conference before being promoted to League Two - beat this with 31.
Football Banning Orders (FBOs) generally last for six years and prevent fans from entering a football stadium and its surrounding area.
There are currently 53 Reds fans subjected to bans, and 25 Everton fans.
Five Tranmere Rovers fans have bans, including two people handed orders this week.
The figures, released by the Home Office, showed that the number of banning orders in the country have also fallen for the fourth year in a row.
There were a total of 2,181 in England and Wales for the 2014-15 season, 31% down from the peak of 3,174 in November 2011.
Liverpool and Everton were approached for comment.
What is a Football Banning Order?
FBOs are issued by the courts, after a person is convicted for a football-related offence, or after a complaint by the Crown Prosecution Service, or local police force.
To issue an FBO, it must be proved that the accused has caused, or contributed to football-related violence or disorder and that the FBO will prevent further incidents.
FBOs can last between three and ten years.
They can be customised to address individual behaviour patterns.
If a person breaches an FBO, they face a maximum sentence of six months in prison.
