Everton have made a £3.6million bid for Cesena striker Gregoire Defrel, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Defrel, 24, scored nine times in 31 games in Serie A last season but couldn't stop his side from finishing 19th and being relegated.

The Toffees had reportedly previously enquired about the striker in January, who has also been linked with QPR and West Brom.

To be fair to him, not every player in a relegated team will be rubbish, some will be prem quality, hungry to play there and represent better value to us than players from the current top divisions.

1-- i've already clearly stated MANY times on this forum that my phone puts the cursor at the top of the reply so i'm just replying "normally". If you 'fix' it so that when i reply it's 'underneath' the quote then the issue is solved. If you are unable to adjust this 'function' then i'm not sure what i can do here, happy to listen to instructions.

2-- The issue above has led to inbox messages, messages within forum threads,threats, abuse and also 'reputation' points removed on numerous occasions. However the ongoing peadophile comments dont seem to lead to people being banned or reported to the authorities which i suggest is a bigger issue and doesnt seem to be treated as such. If comments in that vein were made to say women using this site then i imagine it would be a different outcome.

3-- How am i speculating in the post stating Navas has done his achilles? A simple google search will tell you that 3 days ago it was reported. Or are you saying that discussion in here is solely to talk about the player linked in a newspaper (e.g heaton) and we cant compare that player to anyone else -- meaning only comment on how we rate him?

If so then most of the posts in this thread are offtopic? Its quite clear i have responded to a previous post and not begun any 'speculation

The other thread seems to be about speculation yet you are warning me about a threadban for speculating in there?

It's fine to discuss Heaton in here and whether or not he's better / worse than either Howard or Robles but, given we're likely to be linked to players in most positions, if we start talking about players who could fit in instead of those we're linked to, then it basically opens it up to talk about almost any player who's available. The idea of this thread is to allow folk to quickly catch up on what might be happening. If there's nothing new, then the thread's quite likely to be deathly quiet.

Zatara - I've asked you before to quote "properly" in this and the other transfer thread so I don't have to read everything you post twice. As Roydo says, you're making it hard to follow and, if it's hard to follow and I have any doubt about whether or not you're speculating, I'll just thread ban you from BOTH threads. Thanks for you cooperation.

He's more of a Mirallas type player than a striker, more likely to play out wide or as a number 10 but can also play upfront.
