Hes a decent player going forward, his defending isnt that great though.

It's usual thing for full backs, you don't have many of them (if any) being really good in defending and attacking.

And Miguel defensively is way better than Baines for example (it starts with his recovery pace, followed by his experience, body strength, etc...), he's also on Baines level attacking wise, if not better...

Defender to be offloaded by Spaniards

Portuguese international Miguel could be on the verge of a move to the English Premiership, according to the Valencia full-back’s agent.

The Spanish club are currently in financial difficulty, and Miguel is thought to have been made available by Los Ches after four years at the Mestalla. English club Everton have been linked with the 29-year-old in recent days, and the Miguel’s agent admitted contact with the Merseyside outfit.

“There is interest from more than one club, Everton is one of them,” Paulo Barbosa told Maisfutebol. “The problem at the moment is the money Valencia want for him. It is too high a value and makes it impossible to do business. Valencia need to lower the asking price.”

The former Benfica man has often expressed a desire to play in England, an ambition which Miguel claims stretches back many years, with Aston Villa showing strong interest in his services at various points over the last couple of years.

Miguel is a far better player than Jacobsen.

Only problem with Miguel is his lifestyle, he's supposedly a bit of a party animal. Good player though, better than what we have at right back.
