That's not the point though. Yes those victories were great, but much like beating Nottingham Forest today isn't equivalent to beating them in the late 70s, it's just not wholly comparable.

Moyes' Everton played against actual good/great United teams. Martinez has played against pretty awful ones.

Hmmm, that ManU team today is likely to be playing in the Champions League next season. They're nowhere near as good as some recent United teams, but I wouldn't call them awful.
