It's his second season in the job. Calm down, we won't be relegated and we rebuild in the summer.

The fact that the 'R' word is even contemplated should be enough for him to be shown the door. It's unacceptable to be in this position with the squad at his disposal. Any manager in any other job would have had a 6month review and quit rightly handed their p45 for underperforming and not hitting expected targets.

I have this view, but I have the same concerns I did prior his appointment as manager regarding his ability in the transfer market.

Since arriving at Everton, Roberto Martinez has signed the following;

Kone
Alcaraz
Robles
McCarthy
McGeady
Stanek
Byrne
Barry
Besic
Lukaku
Galloway
Eto'o

Lukaku/McCarthy - Both good investments but paid a premium/
Besic - A world cup buy, novelty aside, a lot to prove.

The rest? Well....

I honestly thought he would have resigned by now
He should have.

Probably waiting until he's relegated us first.

Most other teams fire their massively underperforming managers and see an upturn in form that often leads to shooting up the table before it's too late.

Bill will let us go down first before a change of manager takes place.

Kenwright made himself look like a right wally giving him a new shiny contract a year into the job. Yeah he had a great year last year but to say its naive doesnt even cover it. Sums up our ownership all over.

Cant see any media storm over this or 'Martinez on the brink' narrative.

That's for very good reason: the EL is seen as a joke by most and Everton will be judged in the media on PL results.

Most of those are throwaways, though. Nothing buys that might work out or mjight not.

When he's spent serious money, he's mostly got it right.

Kone - proven to be a horrendous signing
Alcaraz - proven to be a horrendous signing
Robles - not given a chance, unfairly treated after playing well
McCarthy - not as good/effective as some make out
McGeady - proven to be a horrendous signing
Stanek - no idea who he is
Byrne - no idea who he is
Barry - good on loan, awful once he got his contract
Besic - looks decent, fairly low risk signing, could turn out good
Lukaku - good signing, shouldn't lose any money if and when we sell
Galloway - good one for the future
Eto'o - proven to be a horrendous signing

All in all, woeful in the transfer market.

Barry had a great season last one, had some good games this year, you cannot call him a complete flop. Robles was always going to be a back up initially. Byrne and Galloway players for the future potentially.

The rest have been complete and utter horse poop.

Who the hell are Stanek and Byrne??

So it's a joke that we were incapable of winning, nothing like devaluing your own saviors efforts dave.

There's question marks over his transfer record, but it's not half as bad as you make out.
