The simple facts are we were good enough to finish 6th in the EPL with side and the following season he took us to 5th - with the addition of a top drawer striker, Barry and a young Barca starlet. ^ only it wasn't average in the context of the league it competed in ffs. It was the 6th best side in the league, maybe 'great' was pushing it, but equally making out it was 'average' is attemtping to re-write history.
