Hang on, because people are saying they'd sell Lescott for 20-25 mil that means they don't like him?

Behave. I think Lescott is a brilliant player, but what I'm saying is that if he decided to do a Barry and wanted to leave, I'd absolutely bite City's hand off for 20 mil. He's replaceable.

Youve never rated him, hes gonna be upset to find that out.

Why oh why would you sell one of your brilliant players to a direct rival, smacks of a lack of ambition.

Personally id be disgusted if i was a Villa fan.

For some reason i never take any notice when the likes of Arteta, Cahill, Jagielka, Baines etc... are rumoured with anyone, because i do think they are loyal to us. However even though he hasnt done anything for me to think this - i always consider Lescott to be the least loyal, and i do believe he would go where the money was...

...Saying that, him and Jagielka at the back are great, and i would hate to break that up. Dont sell him...

Ive never really thought of Lescott like that to be honest.

I think Hibbert would be one to go where the money is though.......... :dodgy:

Because we're a side with no money, cover at centre back, who need that tiny kick of investment to go to the next level. That's why.

Some people seem to forget how skint we are.

It's one of them, all I'm arguing is that I believe if we sell Lescott for 20 million we could make a net improvement to our squad. And I thought that was what football was about.

In my honest opinion, I think we are too scared of change.

It's not that alot of us think we're not skint, just that we don't need to sell players, I'd rather spend £15m and keep one of the best CBs in England than sell him, reeks of lack of ambition and is not the kind of thing we should be doing.

It depends what you do with the money.

If we sold Lescott, bought Distin say, and then Moutinho with the money, would you say that is lacking ambition?

Yes, let's get a 32 year old that doesn't even come close to Lescotts ability

We're likely to have around £15m to spend, enough for Moutinho if we really wanted him. I just don't see the point in weakening one position severely to strengthen another position, if we're gonna make progress we need to keep our best players and continue strengthening, even if that means we only get 1-2 top players a season

Distin is very under rated imo.

Lets say then, Hangeland. And the same situation with Moutinho. Is that ambitious?
