dude, its in the rules.

danny owns the site.

me and steevie are together on this one.
You're not the only ones.

I'm in awe of the bare-faced gall of people who believe it is their god-given right to go into someone's virtual house, pick fights, drink the fridge dry, leave cigarette burns on the carpet, complain about their "rights" when the owner comments on it and then leave for the next party when it doesn't seem like fun any more.

I had two bad nights on here and was way out of order during that time. I would go as far to say that i should have been banned for my actions and expected to be. Those however that have had so many opportunities to redeem their reputations but continue to breaks the rules, have only themselves to blame. I was lucky to have that opportunity and i am extremely grateful for a second chance and have learned from my silly outburst. We all deserve a second chance but how far do the mods have to go before they become tired of repeating what is acceptable?

Teppic, that now must be two posts you agree with me on now. (y)

Personally like Cal very much and I'm sure he'll be back after his suspension. Rules are rules though and tbh, these rules make it probably the best Everton forum on the net. Ah well, for me at least. Have to say I escaped any infraction uptill now. Not because I haven't been guilty of any abusive language, but just my luck I guess. Either that, or Danny has me on his ignore list.:lol:

i know dude. it's pretty disgusting really.

and then you get people sacrificing themselves.

flup me.. just record yourself setting yourself on fire in protest and be done with it!

A member actually received an infraction for a comment made towards Thatcher, think it was Reidy. So no, it wouldn't slide by. The only chance that will happen is if it wasn't noticed or reported.

Any abuse I notice or gets reported will never be tolerated. Especially in the Everton forum - were all posts are visible by ALL without the requirement to register (t&c not agreed).

Its irrelevant how controversial a person is. What should I do? specify who its ok to abuse? Is that what you are suggesting? Be more leniant towards abuse towards those who may or may not deserve it? How its that distinguished? Now that would confuse people...

No abuse is allowed.

Broken windows and all that.

I understand your position in principle mate, and you shouldn't be made to feel like you're Hitler or anything for carrying out your own rules which are there with the best of intentions. My point is that it's confusing at best because if, for example, poster x started calling Benitez all the you-know-what's under the sun, who's gonna flag that? It'll be left there as an example to others to emulate in relation to other non-posters and lo and behold they're wondering why they've been infracted.

dude, you are flogging a dead horse.

cal was banned. the rules are there. right there for all to see.

a few members already are getting tired of the treatment danny receives from people thinking he should explain himself over and over again for people who are downright rude.

Sorry Dave. Your example was already squished mate. Abuse towards a controversial person (Thatcher) has been infracted before. As it has been here.

Its explained why they have been infracted. Its really not difficult is it?, if you call someone everything under the sun, you'll get a PM telling you why you have received an infraction and theres also a red card on the bottom right of the post 'left there as an example to others'...

Think of a better way? Let me know. Until then, please don't call into question a perfectly logical way to run a forum.
