Blackburn winning 2-0 against Wigan. Looks like Premership footy secured for them. So it's between Sunderland, Hull, Boro and Newcastle to avoid the drop.

Looking at the remainig fixtures of the relegation candidates, I fancy Sunderland to escape it. Think they'll get enough points from the matches against Bolton and Pompey.

Also looks bleak for Hull City. Hope they get some points in their remaining games. A home win against Stoke looks the most likely.

Boro look doomed to me, lets just hope they get something from their game at St. James' Park.

Think Newcastle have the easiest fixture list. Home matches against Pompey, Boro and Fulham are vital in their quest for Premiership survival. Really hope Pompey will deal out a hammer blow to them.

My prediction will be Hull and Boro to be relegated, with Newcastle escaping by the skin of their teeth. Hope to god I'll be proven wrong though.

Good post, Dutch. I think you're about right. The slimy toads will probably just have enough. It really looks bad for Hull, you just can't see where a victory will come from. To be honest, something terrible must have happened there. they were sitting pretty at Xmas, and look at them now. Boro also look doomed, and their coming fixtures are just a bit much at this stage. Sunderland and Blackburn are safe in my opinion.

If the Bacon bellies do go down, I fancy it will be that somehow, miraculously, Hull mange just one win, which will take them up to 37 points. The Flabmeisters will probably finish on about 36, and will, therefore, be playing in the Championship nest season.

A Hull City win anywhere would really put enormous pressure on those Geordie ****s. As I said, hope that Pompey manage to upset them tomorrow night. Also Fulham will be a dangerous game for them. They'll probably have to go all out against them and Fulham do have a pacey striker in their ranks, who can hit them on the break.

Boro look the most doomed to me and I just can't see them making it. Lets just hope they'll get some consolence by taking their arch rivals with them on their journey through the CCC.

Also think Newcastle will avoid the drop eventually, but still have good hope Villa will have something to play for. Refuse to give up on finishing 5th.

I could even find myself rooting for the Magpies on the final day of the PL.:(

Eh ... we'll be four points clear of 'em by then!

After watching the game last night I'm convinced Newcastle will go...

I was checking out a Newcastle forum before, and funnily even they think that they're doomed now. And that's from the most deluded fans in England. It's looking bleak, and the signs are that even Shearer is about to get the Geordie backlash.

TBH, a spell in the Championship is deserved. The club and fans need to wake up and adjust to what they are as a club, instead of acting like they are Man United all the time.

Really thought Newcastle were going to win last night. Believe they dropped very valuable points at home to Pompey. Please Hull, just get a win anywhere and the Magpies will be in deep, deep troubles I believe.
