We always tend to watch the game first. Unless it's massive like Thursday will be. I hope the fans in there all realise that.
Like when you get Man U at home 4 games from the end of the season and you need 3 points. Then the crowd is beating noise down onto the pitch from the start.
Normally it takes a spark though, like a goal is the obvious one, or P Neville clattering Ronaldo into the advertising board, or Mark Cl----burg being anywhere near our matches
Or Distin carrying the ball 40 yards down the field it looking like his feet and the football are one of those ball-on-string racket toys.
Something like that always gets the noise up, and it's always everyone at once, I love that about Everton - there's the Street for the noise, but you can tell it's every single one of us when thcomes again. e crowd responds to something - it's simultaneous and electric.
Some of the best atmospheres IMO are to be had when its a low gate, tend to get your hard core support there, any oldies out there recall Coventry League Cup 1983,and us snatching it in the last seconds in font of a whopping 9000?!!lolare away support for numbers is up there with the best , home atmosphere is awful. Thursday will be embarrassing when the grounds empty an the atmosphere is dead

Don't please... I'm still having therapy for those dark days of crowds less than 15,000.

Ha Ha,I can recall midweek games around that time against the likes of Notts County and they would have less fans than players, and I'm not joking!Don't please... I'm still having therapy for those dark days of crowds less than 15,000.
Why do you think the ground will be empty ?
Eticketing suggests about 30k at the moment
true that mate . another one that springs to mind was a blackburn game in the early 90s.a goal down and in serious relegation trouble as usual.we roared them to a late winner. Only about 18 thousand in if I remember rightSome of the best atmospheres IMO are to be had when its a low gate, tend to get your hard core support there, any oldies out there recall Coventry League Cup 1983,and us snatching it in the last seconds in font of a whopping 9000?!!lol
