Thing is, noisy, aggressive support is only of value when it's intermittent. When it's a constant drone, as at Palace and increasingly at Utd, it just becomes annoying background noise.

Give me a hostile GP once every blue moon anytime.

I personally can't make every home game but the derby compared to others was absolutely unreal. No one in sight was sitting down.

I agree with what's been said, all it takes is 20-30 and it shouldn't really be difficult, I know loads of lads who'd get involved.

I hope something is done soon, fair play to those trying.

football has changed noisy crowds are a thing of the past except for certain stadiums were the supports still sport mullets or middle aged men with earrings beer bellies and hair highlights wave scarfs (Stoke)(Liverpool) ask our chairman he will regale you of days long ago of uncle cirils handle bars and urine laced bovril etc these days people pay good money and sit there waiting to be entertained by Bentley driving prim a donnas who fail. the only way the atmosphere will return is if standing replaces seating cram a load of people into a section it induces mob mentality hence wonderful atmosphere

world sport revolves around entertainment - not for the purist but for the masses -
the money people and the sponsors want exposure -
that is the American way - make a circus of any event and most clowns will end up watching-
and the money rolls in - as long as people enjoy themselves and get value for money - never mind the score -
the officials will see that your side wins every now and then - narrowly in the last minute if possible
