Remembering Moyes

We were only able to pay these extra wages due to the high finish of the teams Moyes built, not the other way round. Moyes wasn't given the funds build quality then pay it back with the finishes, he had a poor team, made it good then paid them appropriately. Otherwise we would still be paying a low wage for a poor team.
Getting us into Europe earnt us money to pay more wages, that doesn't make a better player, we didn't get Coleman because we offered 90k a week.

More to do with the 36,000 fans at goodison vs 20,000-25,000 fans at other stadiums which is about £15-20m per season more.....

Getting us into Europe earned us relative peanuts, the europa league isn't worth a fraction of the champions league especially when you factor in the extra resource needed.

We only "earn" roughly 17m a season from gate receipts, so we clearly do not earn 15m more than other teams, unless the other team is Fleetwood Town.

thats actually true - we dont play 38 gamers at home (duh), but it still represents £7-£10m

Now your just talking utter bolloxs.

No wonder your other account was banned.
£30 x 15000 = £450,000

£450,000 x 19 = £8,550,000

Probably more as we can charge more than lower clubs.... plus a few more pints of change etc and bingo

last account wasnt banned BTW.

Does any of these pointless argumants matter, hes gone, everyone will have there own opinion on whether he was a success or not.

Thought moyes did a decent job but he clearly has his limitations and draw backs, the thing about him was that we knew we'd be safe and steady, there or there abouts 7th place and maybe a cup run to a semi final, which we all accepted as a boss season because he constantly played the plucky little everton card, we should be happy with 10th bullshit. And there was almsot certain a case of stockholm syndrome towards him by some of our fans.

With bobby ive not been this excited and proud off our club in my life time.

*Not sure if stockholm syndrome is the right one, but you get the idea, some almost held him in legendary status because he saved us from relegation and steady us out as a top 8 team

Its worth just shy of a mil a place, take another look at the year by year comparison I put up there and you'll see just how much getting into Europe generated through the league finish alone..

As for the attendance I suspect we are far from the biggest and the revenue generated is a very small amount compared to TV and league prize money.

Villa, Spurs and Newcastle amongst several others all bring in more match day revenue than us.
Simply doesn't' explain why we can go from a bottom of the league team to 8th-5th regulars. Why didn't they?
