I think bit might be a case of getting Heitinga's wages of the books first
So we can give it to Baines? Id' rather that money go to Ross and Seamus. Or heaven forbid, towards a new striker.

Heitinga is supposedly on £65,000 per week. That could easily be split 3 ways and still be a nice pay rise for each
The biggest club in the world are interested in him and he hasn't signed a contract yet when he was injured for how long. Its pretty obvious mate

I know its everton and we take everything slow but surely they would have made him sign a contract when he was injured?
Nobody is gonna be that arsed any more when Baines signs his contract. It's taken far too long. Surely if he was such a boss Blue and actually wanted to stay he'd have signed it yonks ago?

Not as far as I am aware but obviously can't rule out some sort of distant connection.are you two related?

although we now know he asked for a move but the club turned it down.
I don't listen to any of the media in England.
Not been here long but you strike me as the kind of person that would be made up if we sold him next week for 15m, claiming its a no brainer and a great piece of business. But then annoyingly state it was stupid to sell him should his replacements form suddenly dip (Oviedo). You're someone who likes to always be ' against the grain '. Fair enough like
So according the Mirror (via Martinez), Baines wants to stay at Everton. Then why not come out and say it the fans? We've heard nothing from him since we assumed he's decided to stay in the summer... although we now know he asked for a move but the club turned it down.
Because he produces spectacular performances every time he steps on the pitch and doesn't owe us anything beyond that. He has other things to worry about besides whether or not you personally are worried about him leaving, and he has every right to wait til the summer to negotiate a new contract, if we do make champions league I imagine his contract will be considerably more lucrative
