How did you become a fan of Everton?

Born and bred a scouser, my Auntie (A die hard blue who never missed a game) used to look after me a lot when i was a baby and instilled the Everton way in me and my 1st words were "Alan Ball". She also took me to my 1st game and made sure i had deep hatred for that other side.
For this i will be eternally grateful!(y)

:lol::lol::lol:(y)

Kinda like other stories but in reverse.

In 1988 my dad took me to Carrow Road to watch Norwich play Everton. At the time i was neutral but of course Everton won the match so i decided to support Everton cause they were good rather than shitarse Norwich just to annoy my dad!

Comming from Northern Ireland in the late 60s early 70s, I steered away from the sectarian nature of Football over here and it was the era of Harvy, Kendall and ball. Everton were riding high and it became second nature to support them. 40 off years later and two EFC tattoos later I'm not going to change.

Grew up playing soccer all the way into high school. Got hooked on the World Cup in 2006 and my friend Jagler and I decided we should pick up a Prem team if we were serious about following soccer. Immediately we decided against the big 4, but we wanted a team with an awesome history and tradition. I liked the fact their main rival was Liverpool too.

Also Tim Cahill having a great Cup run, along with Everton having an American goalie was cool too.

Dad was a blue, mum was a blue, uncles were blues, anties were blues, Grandad was a blue, cousins were blue.......

Think you get the picture......

Remember Blues are born not manafactured!!

The likes of Rodders, you think you picked Everton. They were already thier in your heart mate. You just didnt know it!! You to Deathby!!

Sharpy, not sure where I stand then!!!

Black guy, don't have any relatives in the City of Liverpool. Furtherest relative was brummie.

Became a blue in 1969 as I thought that they would win the league, which they did. No london club ever interested me. Two clinchers for me, the first is that the Beatles are my all time pop group, and when I began to read about the blues, I was caught hook line and sinker by our glorious tradition. We were more than just a football club, we contributed to making football what it is!!!

There could only be one team for me.

I use to walk 6 miles a day instead of taking a bus to and from school to save up enough money so that I could watch Everton whenever we played in London, but had to sit in the opponents end!!!

So Sharpy, am I a manufactured blue?b):P

Mine is a bit embarrassing. Almost shameful really.
you cant leave it at that mate:D

me......... all my dads side are blues, my mums are all from st.helens so are rugby fans. i spent a few years watching the saints before starting to go to goodison on the eavesway buses. just started going in time tbh as i started literally months before we went into mid 80's orbit, must have been around the time of the oxford united league cup game.
glad to say i've introduced 2 of my kids to "their birthrite" just 1 left to baptise at the chapel of football, only thing is they love it and i cant afford to take 3 kids every week (unlike fans of man. citeh where it costs £5 for a kid)

No one's had any shockers yet tho, I'll get lynched!

Basically I really wanted to support Liverpool to join in with my 'cool' older brother, but he was never very kind about that sort of thing, so he said I couldn't. I was only about five, the mean ****! I'm glad he was tho, somehow or other I have a picture of me a few months later in a royal blue shirt with a certain emblem on the front.

Always wanted to be another Brian Labone in the royal blue while playing in school. My family had close connections to Joe Royle and thus I was always a true blue. Even though Steve Highway's wife taught me in school. Perhaps my favorite was Alan Ball and it made me sick in my stomach when he left to Arsenal white boots and all. But there is only one team for me through thick and thin. We are the "Everton boot boys".

Started following American players abroad and Joe Max Moore was with Everton at the time. In addition, a friend of mine I played football with grew up in Liverpool and supported Everton.

I started to pay more attention to the club and the rest was history. My 2003 Christmas gift from the wife was a trip to England to see Everton play. Caught Everton against Spurs on Good Friday in '04. Stayed at the Adelphia Hotel. Went to London to do some sightseeing for a few days. Took the train up to Leeds to watch Everton at Elland Road the following Tuesday night.

Blue through and through.

...and the hatred for the [Poor language removed] across the park didn't take long to develop either. :D

No way, he was good for something then!

My old mans and shitteh supporter, but my uncle on my mums side is a blue. I always hung around him so it was a natural fit.

Im glad I support Everton and not these other wannabees
