Goat

Player Valuation: £380m
Where is this lad? In all the formations and the teams every1 has ever done he doesnt appear once, its almost like hes a forgotten player. Surely it would make sense to throw this lad onto the right wing and move Arteta in the middle? Or does some1 know something i dont, ive checked and he doesnt appear to be injured, but i could be wrong.

If he does have the potential I hope we hold him back a bit. Dont make the same mistake as Rooney. Unleash him now and he does well, it could all get to his head. Unleash him now and he isn't fully equipped, it could damage the lads confidence.

Someone asked not long ago & he'd been away with England & playing well for them. After his start I thought he'd be around the 1st team more than he has been recently but he could well be getting vital experience with the England set up

A few minutes at the end of the odd game would do him the world of good though, I agree he's not ready to start yet but barely anyone is at his age & he's got some good attributes already. I'd like to see him on the bench a few times again but if he's getting full games at a lower level I'd be happy with that too

Can't wait to see how good he becomes in a few years

I'm more interested as to the whereabouts of van der Meyde...

Not on the injured list, not playing with the reserves and not in our 1st team squad.

We're screaming for someone that knows how to operate out wide (Fellaini, Cahill and Saha are just about 3 of the best when it comes to headed goals) and according to many, he was looking our best player preseason up until he reinjured himself.

Anyone got a serious clue? - Not that he's down the pub, playing with his dog or anything.

He's not going to play for us again.

He couldn't handle the Prem yet, physically and mentally, just my opinion obviously. Sound lad tho, will be involved a lot more next season I reckon.

Id give him another two or three years yet, depending on how he develops physically. He's only 16 isn't he?

He's been injured hasn't he?

I remember reading a interview with Andy Holden saying that he's just come back from an injury.

Id keep him under wraps tikk we sign him up long term. As other have asid as a player hes not ready yet. But:

--------------Rodders

Arteta---------Fellini---------Pienaar

---------------Baxter

i think playing rodwell on the wing would be a mistake. he's a natural defender right? i don't think he has the pace to be a winger.

as for shandy, i can't fathom what he has done to con our club into paying him this much money season after season with seemingly no intention of ever playing him. every season that we don't release him, i keep thinking that moyes is trying to turn him around, but he doesn't seem to be giving it any attention

Just bumping this.

Any news on him?

Am I right in thinking he is a free agent in the summer? - If thats the case, we are probably being wise and keeping him back until he is on a 5 year contract.

I reckon he's just not there physically to feature for the 1st XI yet - the lad's not a beast like Rooney was at 16 and would run the risk of just getting injured or losing possession too easily.

Also, can't sign a 'proper' contract until he turns 17, so until then (7th Feb apparently, so not long) he could still be poached away by someone else for almost nothing, so you could be right about holding him back intentionally.
