Ok, we get the message Kirkby is evil, its out of town, its a [Poor language removed] stadium and its gonna cost a bomb, can somebody please tell me what the alternative is?

We cant afford to rebuild Goodison, we have no money, i doubt the banks would lend us the 200m+ to do this.

We cant afford to build a new stadium, if a site could be found within the city, i also doubt the banks would lend us the 400m+ needed for this.

Sometimes you just have to go with what you can afford.

as far as i can see we can't afford to build kirkby either.

what have you based your figures on?

why would we need to redevelop goodison all at one stroke - why not do so incrementally as finances & demand dictate?

please also bear in mind that a bad idea doesn't become a good idea just because it's the only one you've got at the time.
