They are fans, if they leave our attendence will drop even more.

It's not exactly the other side of the country is it TB. It's 2 or so miles away!!

If they [Poor language removed] it off for that, then [Poor language removed] them.

I don't really want to go to Kirkby. But if we did, id never stop going.

Some people are strongly against it mate, we are potentially spilliting an entire fanbase as the vote showed.

It's dissapointing but people are entitled to there opinion. You may not call them fans but they are and we will be losing fans because of this move. The less fans we have the more money we'll lose.

They'll start supporting the [Poor language removed] cos they're closer hahaha

Like I pointed out earlier, the people against the move are saying we can never fill a 50,000 seater stadium even if we redeveloped Goodison, moved to Stanley Park or to the Moon never mind one 6miles from the town centre.
I dont think we'd sell out a 50,000 seater week in week out wherever we are, we're not THAT popular. But your big games (Manure, The [Poor language removed], Gooners etc) would be where you make your dollar.

True
Bring on Destination Alicante. I'll go then

I've said before I'd rather groundshare with tesco's than Liverpool.

I am, and always will be an Evertonian. If we move to Kirkby, groundshare with Liverpool, or just stay put I will still be an Evertonian. I may not like the idea, but to walk away. Where would I go? another FC United of Manchester? No Way.

Anyone can choose not to support Everton if they don't like where we end up. I would question anyone who does make that choice if they were truly supporters in the first place.

If a major point is the fact we could never fill a 50,000 seater, anyone think they'll just give Goodison a lick of paint without increasing its capacity?

Jesus, there are some whoppers in here. This debate has gone on for over a year and some people STILL think the only reason people wouldn't go to Kirkby is the distance. I think these people are beyond help.

Distance, travel, and location (we'll turn into a Tramere) arent why the majority dont want the move?

I'm sure there are a fair amount that know the ins and outs of the move, the ground, the transport etc in context of it financially, progression of the club etc and how things dont add up fully.

But I'm sure a major factor that will stop fans coming is that its not in the city.

If the same problems appeared in a location in the city I do think the agruments against the move would be less vocal and the debate over whether the ground would get filled be less so. Everything that can fuel that outside the city arguement just reinforces why fans dont want to go.

Keep Everton In Our City?

But that's just me.

It's tragic, it really is. The feeling I get on this forum is that many haven't looked beyond the glossy brochure of spin and broken promises delivered by EFC in July 07. Most just cant be arsed to look at the issue in anything approaching a level of analysis, which, given the enormity of the situation, is staggering.

You can only claim the practical high ground of 'realism', as many supporters of Kirkby do, if you actually know what both sides of the story are and what possibilities are open if we look at the situation through an alternative prism to the one used by the club.
