I know most of what you say is borne out of frustration mate, and i think its easy to to look to target things for change or scape goat if you will. Certianly things can be improved on, but that could be said of any team in the country. The fact that you say lets stop looking at the past lets look to the future, is really short sighted. What your looking at is pedigree and ability to decvelop and progress and looking at what a manger has done to secure and improve things long term cant be ignored. The fact the tother managers may be be able to come in and offer something different is possibly ture but at the same time naieve. I mean the man just hasnt built a team hes built a club. So the fact that we have played what a maximum of seven games not to a standard we've come to expect is the hallmark of success rather failure and a strong sense of what moyes has given us in recent seasons is a sense of pride and expectation again. I dont believe anyone else could done what he has done but thats opinion it cant be proven. In many ways i think your being really unapprecitve and shows how spoiled we have become on the back of Moyes success.
Secondly i ask myself the question if Moyes got the oppurtunity to manage one of the CL clubs do i think he would be successfull, without a doubht i do. I know you probably dont but its all about opinions. In terms of how things stand at the moment, can the club provide Moyes with the tools to get top four im not sure they can, do i beleive Moyes has the managerial ability to build a team of getting into the top four if given the tools absolutley so form that view point is a time approaching where i think David Moyes has hit the glass ceiling with Everton?Yes i do and i thnk that frustration will see him leave the club. I hope not but if i had to come down with a likely scenario that would be it! Your comments and many other s on this forum are built on frustration of threading water as a team and club presently we are fans imagine how frustrating it must be to be the manager.
I'd don't think it is shortsighted to be honest, we have been inconsistent under Moyes. We get to a certain level, we drop down a level and then we work ourselves back up to that level again.
The past two seasons have been consistent and finally we look like we are getting somewhere. It's too early to predict where we will finish, we could get into Europe and do well or we could struggle. We'll have to wait and see on that one.
What I said is if he fails to get us into Europe then maybe it is time for a change. If he doesn't it'll have proven once again that he can't keep this team at a certain level, we do tend to yoyo.
I expect results and I expect consistency, if he produces them then he deserves to continue as manager here. He'll have done what he set out to do at the start of the season. I'm not saying I want him to go, far from it. I want him to continue consistently, that's all I ask.
I don't agree with people just saying get rid, that's not what I said. I would rather wait to see what he achieves this season, if he doesn't keep us at this level then maybe it is time for a change. If he does then it's all good, we'll keep on moving together.
