Nice to see us finally getting some players into the squad. I just hope he will be a contender for a starting position even when we have a fully fit squad.

next season we'll be asking Manuel who?

Castillo is the dog's bollocks I bet. He's comes from south america how can he be [Poor language removed]? lol

He deserves a chance, although he maybe not the household name a lot of fans were begging for,he could turn out to be a great find.Don't know why, but i've got good vibes about this signing, i just hope he settles in quickly.

I believe that makes it official.

Cal's banned for at least one day...or seven depending upon the admin's mood. :D

After having suffered through the summer months waiting and hoping the club would sign the players we need, I'm glad the club is finally bringing some in. Don't know much about Jacobsen, but if I remember correctly, Castillo looked fairly decent during the World Cup (I remember watching the Ecuador matches and making a mental note that several of their players were quite good).

Granted, I don't think he's what we've all been hoping for, but I have a sneaking suspicion that he will do quite well for us, once he's settled in. And I don't think he's a panic buy - just one from the lower end of the list of potential signings by Moyes if other, more highly sought after players don't come (I thinking Mbia here, not Moutinho). To me, a panic buy is someone like Robbie Savage or Steve Carr - players who have definitely proven not to be high-caliber players and are brought in to fill out the numbers.

If we can get Obinna on loan, plus 2 midfielders of either 1) proven quality or 2) young player with some experience/potential, then I will be reasonably satisfied with our transfer activity. Ideally, Moutinho and, say, Ledley.

Het in son!!

Big Cass is on board.

I am delighted to get some bodies in place, never seen him play, but its a warm body whom will at least put some pressure on the other lads to perform like last year. Shame about SWP, but then again, we could not afford to upset the team spirit. The Manager has been great at developing players not taking lads whom have not performed elsewhere. At least Nev did hold his own in Utd.
