Has anyone found it in print or video yet?

A lot disputing Nev said it...

As stated above, Sky Sports edited it out in subsequent airings but he said it as verbatim mate.

The ones denying it happened are those who saw the "repeats" of the interview on Sky Sports News which were shortened.

It says it in the liverpool echo as well. That's where I saw it.

That article isn't that bad really, it was the "Top 10 is a magnificent achievement for a club like Everton" which enraged me.

Everything else he said was fine - indeed, it was as expected, hence this thread being started. He does it every few months after a shocking result like clockwork.

But that sentence is plain ridiculous and completely inexcusable.

“Only twice have we finished outside the top 10 and that is a massive achievement for a club like Everton"

Realistically he couldn't have said much worse really, it was unbelievable.

It's as if he thinks the club was formed in 2002 when Moyes took over.

Only twice have we finished outside the top 10 and that is a massive achievement for a club like Everton.

"Liverpool don't belong in seventh, eighth or ninth in the table. We want to push for the European places year after year."

Two clubs level on points, one with a game in hand, contrasting quotes from the respective Captains.

Time for a clean sweep!

Not intending to compare with reds, just they are at this moment immediate rivals and our captain, thinks top ten is a massive achievement.

Yesterday a friend (who would admit to only casually watching football- Chelsea fan, who woulda guessed) asked me
"How much bigger than Everton were City when they were taken over?"
..
..
uhghrhgurhggggh
Yes he's an uninformed moron, but its indicative of the position the club is in now- Everton's stature is being revised into that of a little pisher, undeserving of any success.
uhghhghgrhghh
