That article isn't that bad really, it was the "Top 10 is a magnificent achievement for a club like Everton" which enraged me.
It says it in the liverpool echo as well. That's where I saw it.As stated above, Sky Sports edited it out in subsequent airings but he said it as verbatim mate.
The ones denying it happened are those who saw the "repeats" of the interview on Sky Sports News which were shortened.

Everything else he said was fine - indeed, it was as expected, hence this thread being started. He does it every few months after a shocking result like clockwork.
But that sentence is plain ridiculous and completely inexcusable.

Only twice have we finished outside the top 10 and that is a massive achievement for a club like Everton.
"Liverpool don't belong in seventh, eighth or ninth in the table. We want to push for the European places year after year."
Two clubs level on points, one with a game in hand, contrasting quotes from the respective Captains.
