I suspect you play mate rather than look at stats, you're absolutely spot on.

One look at him watching the game pass him by as he plods aimlessly for england hints at what he's about. Away from the comfort zone of 10 others dominating the game he gets done for pace and overrun in midfield which even the odd goal doesn't disguise.

Think Michael Owen and Beckham away from Liverpool and Utd and there it is - good for snapshots with granny and fck all else.

Clearly never actually seen Beckham play in the last 5 years (whether for Galaxy or Milan). MLS is not nearly as poor as people think it is these days, and Beckham still has quality - as will be demonstrated whenever he pulls on PSG's shirt.

Yes there's all the financial machine around him, but that distracts from the fact that he is still a very good footballer.

If we sign him do you reckon he'll appeal to the FA to get his winner in the cup final against us chalked off?

Add that to the Goodison Timeline...

2012: Manager David Moyes reaches landmark decade in charge.
2013: FA CUP WINNERS (shared).

more chance of signing FRANK SIDEBOTTOM

I'd like it if we got Frank Spencer, wicked pace.

So you think adding at least £70k per week to our already huge wage bill for someone who'll be 35 by the time we sign him is a good idea?

If he is still scoring 16+ goals from midfield every season then I couldn't care less about how old he is, and he would be well worth his money if he provided such a return.

Someone like Fer and Lampard in midfield would make a great combination, IMO.

This. Don't get me wrong I think he's an amazing player with an amazing scoring record but paying him that much with someone who won't last much longer is ridiculous.

Its ok scoring 20 goals a season, with 5.6 world Class players around you, and playing behind one of the best strikers the prem has ever seen.

How many would he get with Chebe, Naisy and Ossy around him!!!?!!!
