We're an utter shambles.

I can't think of a club outside the proverbial Top 4 that doesn't have a worry. If you think we're in trouble, then take a look at Blackburn. Friedel hid plenty of glaring weaknesses in that defence over the last several years.

Not much of a need to panic right now. Let's see how this club responds in the day to come.

Great point!

I watched it mate and didnt think it was that bad, i think Moyes dicked around and tried players in different postitions and rested and rotaed a few given next week. Also gave 16 year olds a run, exactly the way your supposed to in pre-season firendlies.

If anything i think he told the players to take it easy and not to get injured.

I would read f-all in to yesterdays result or performence incidently PSV are a very good side!

The fact that those 16 year olds are actually in our first team squad now?

The only available players for this Saturday coming are the ones who were in the team and squad yesterday

Cal, you know I love ya to bits buddy, but by the end of this week I would like your permission to laugh in your face for you being so incorrectly pessimistic. And if I know you, you will be hoping you are way off the mark also.

I still believe we will be chuckling come saturday.

Did i miss something when did getting a draw aginst PSV become a bad result, i think we've all been without football for far to wrong, i would be far more worried if everyone yesterday ran around as if it was the second half against Fioentina at home.

Its all about getting match fit hence so many changes.

The Barcodes only drew with them 2-2 and supposedly they have a better team than us. We only let 1 past us. I am not panicking.

I'm up for that mate.

So down in the dumps after yesterday though, seeing our squad like that.

I have over-reacted abit though, i admit, i'm always up for being proved wrong though :D.

It's nothing to do with the result really.

It's just the squad and the players we have on the subs bench.

Not that i'm dismissing the talent of some but it's just the fact that they're just not ready for the Premiership yet, its obvious.

We know Baxters going to be class the rest we dont know enogh about, i think its great the young lads are involved ive really enjoyed the preseason for that, the thought of some prosepcts coming throgh in addition to Vaghan to Vic could save us millions are youth policy is great and i think Moyes is manageing it perfectly he talks of the foundations being right through the club and thats certainly evident. i tihnk its important that the young players can see a route in to the first team praticularly the Baxters, so i dont see a problem.

I dont think the squad depth is as bad as people think. I certainly can remember worse, tell the truth people are just generally pissed of becasue they havnt had the excitement of signing anyone yet! Thats the only reason peoples trigger finger are getting itchy.

I agree with that mate, some more so then others but with young players you need to dip them in and out untill they are able to pull of at least a 30 games a season consistently.

Im just thinking with the young players, what we already have, and with the three-four min i expect to sign what a f-ing good squad wel have! (y)

Another Moyesy master-stroke!

I think we are in a right mess the season starts next week and look at the players we have available its a joke.
I know its deemed at being negative on here to have a go at kenwright but i,d rather be honest and say what i see we are a joke.
Moysie has not signed his contract yet the players look pissed off and all that prick kenwright says is watch this space there are 6 or 7 players coming in,i don,t think he even believes his own lies now.

personnaly after yesterdays match im a hell of a lot more confident.

i think arteta looks like he is ready to showboat all season.
pienaar looks a much better player (cool) and looks sharp.
gosling and rodwell i think are better than i thought and could do very well.
the defence is in good shape , although a bit creaky still.
we have a few possible youth gems.
and we have vaughan cahill hibbert vdm and anichebe all to come back still.(+ a few signing)

overall i think when things get competetive i think we have a damn good chance against most prem teams.

the only long term problem is injuries/suspensions.
an injury in any area pretty much means we would have to play a youngster.
i still think the one player we dont want injured is howard. the cover is just not good enough.

i was , pre-match , also worried about competition for places.but with the edge the youth like rodwell gosling anichebe and baxter are showing i think for the time being they will keep the seniors on there toes.

Easy with the trigger finger mate, i refer you to season 04-05, not unlike many of the posts at that time!

Already good squad + Youth Gems + 3-4 good signings + Great Manger = Top season!

Im not worried in the slightest.

I hope you are right but something is not right this time even moysie seems pissed off and looking no nearer to signing his contract.
The squads around us are also getting bigger and look how we stuggled for a bit last season when we had injuries as the season came to an end.

Im not sure the numbers were the problem rather more like wo the alternatives were,, loke Grav and AVDM.

Hopefully with the three or four and the young lads wel have more hten enough, im confident.

I put our decline down to Cahill being injured to be honest, and the mental blow of going out of europe unfairly.

Europe was certainly a big factor but even moysie said he needed to rest certain players and freshen things up but did,nt have the numbers.
