mate it's all here to see. Just read the Kenwright board thread. You should know this stuff. One disaster after another. Look I know I'm going to piss a few off with this thread, but the truth does hurt.

Your post was aimed significantly, if not wholly, at (people like) me. I'm not the biggest fan of the board but I'd never really committed significant time to it, because it depressed me, and felt out of my control.

I could be nothing but hurt or pissed off by your post. I'm embarrassed more like - embarrassed with myself that is. Apathy and self-pity achieve absolutely nothing. I do agree Alan Ball's treatment has stirred some real anger (see my post in that thead). Enough drops in the ocean will cause some ripples. I can imagine there will be a few waves by the end of the season once Moyes and a few of our prize 'assets' are gone. Moyes has worked miracles to pull this club out of the **** in the transfer market, regardless of his other faults as a manager, his astronomical wages aside, he has been instrumental in keeping us relatively successful and solvent.

So let me get this right. You're saying that those Blues who didn't march with the Blue Union last year are in someway to blame for some jobsworth moron back of house at Finch Farm, making the decision to ban AB from attending Youth games?

Ok mate if you say so.

There is only one way to **** this boardroom up and force change and it's one even the majority of people who passionately oppose Kenwright and his ilk and are active in their opposition will never take: boycott the matches. 5 or 6 thousand off the gate and they'd be gasping for air looking for a way out. Would it hurt the club in the short term? Yes. But so ****ing what, we're not remotely near achieving anything anyway and the alternative is to let these incompetents and liars waste away another decade, this time keeping their head above water by pissing away the new tv cash.

The day Kenwright took over almost 13 years to the day was the start of the biggest retreat away from our club's traditions. He'll be still here in another 13 years if a scorched earth strategy isn't taken to him and his fellow conmen.

So by going the match, we're hurting the club?

Alright Dayvek.

Serious question, If there is nobody out there willing to buy or invest in the club what are the blue union trying to achieve?

We weren't far off 5 or 6 thousand off the gate at this time last season. When we were gash it probably dropped by 3 or 4 thousand. As you said the board responded ( mainly ) by recycling the squad a bit. It'll take more than a few thousand off the gate to shake up our useless board.

The situation with Bally could be used as a catalyst if handled correctly, esp. if EFC refuse to reverse the position.

I'll still go to the games though.

I did do the marches and I'm still against the board but I think The Blue Union has lost their way. Their Facebook status updates are just boring and mainly aren't even on topic anymore.

and by not going to the games and hurting the club short term - even less money for signings, possibly increasing the debt making us even less attractive to buy is actually for the good of the club?

Many fans are as disillusioned with the BU/KEIOC as they are with the board for a variety of reasons that have pointed out on the threads on the subjects.

It seems a pity it has to be typecast as one or the other.

Sharpy, I agree with you but you're pissing in the wind.

The marchers represent the last remnants of how evertonians used to be and the "Nil Satis" question is answered when you read forum fans ridiculing it usually adding "you're living in the 80s mate".

In reality they're not immersed in the clubs history and culture it's a pastime not a passion, trumpeting "7th place trophy" just gives the people controlling the club a free pass. They are absolutely laughing their socks off at how untouchable they are, no finer example is there than this thread were people are asking for a list of misdemeanours, as though it's news ffs.

We get what we deserve - we deserve Kenwright & co.

It's just a sea change in evertonians attitude that I'll never subscribe to.

Can you not just leave these discussions till the end of season. I know you probably have the best interests at heart but we are going quite well at the moment and we could do without a split with supporters at present.

Sometimes you have to go backward to go forward. I understand patterns built up over decades are like a drug to break with, but it really is the only effective way of getting shut of these bunch of carpet baggers who are slowly killing the club. Look at how nervy Elstone is when answering MBEs question about break even attendance levels - he says 36,000 and then a drop from that and they're looking to better commercial operations to take up the slack. They would shit a brick if they had to operate from 30,000 and it'd mean they'd have to get external investors as a priority or sell key players - either of those two outcomes would produce change in one way or another: the former would loosen the vice like grip the current liars have, the latter would provoke a reaction from fans.

It's a call that organised groups like the BU and KEIOC need to step up and make when the time is right. Imo, the 'oppose the board, back the club' line will get us precisely nowhere. If they're serious about saving the club they need to advocate a complete financial boycott.
