Crouch is a good centre forward and if we didn't have the likes of AJ or Yak then I would be happy to have him with Everton (shame we didn't buy him instead of Beattie). I think his beanpole like, gangly body often masks just how good he is on the ball. He looks untidy, likes he[s skidding around on a banana skin all the time. But just watch him with the ball and you'll be amazed at just how skillful he really is. In saying that, he doesn't offer a great improvement on what we already have.

I despair I really do. So he can do the odd flick, big ucks. What about that Japanese kid who can do hundreds of keep ups while lying on his back reading a book? Do we sign him up? Its about more than just flicks, its about reading where the ball is going to go, its about out muscelling your markers - Crouch falls down more often than a pissed Italian.
But you are right at the end he doesn't offer any improvement.

Although he is a proven goalscorer. And for a big guy his feet are pretty good.
Mr. Coyney is correct, someone so tall should be great at headers-but he's awful.
Also Arteta would have neck strain to add to his list of injuries watching the ball fly over his head constantly. As soon as the pressure would be on it would launched high. It's just too much of a temptation......

crouch is well over priced, to be honest i think as far as a target man goes, he and Dave Kitson are on par, but kitson's 2.5 mill, vs Crouch being worth 10mill +. I think their both decent players and to be honest at 2.5 i wouldn't mind seeing Kitson at goodison, that would only be if we sold AJ for 10mill though.
There is no way in the world that moyes wpuld evr spend ten million on Peter Crouch, i would be dumbfounded if that were ever to happen!
