Seeing as we haven't got much to spend, I'd let Arteta go for £10M minimum. He's a luxury I dont think we can afford. Then go out and buy pace.

I,d rather build the midfield around arteta than sell him.
Now he has had his operation he will be a lot sharper next season.

Bit too patchy in terms of form for me. Ideally I'd like to see him retained because he is a class player. If we're keeping Fernandes as looks likely I dont think we can find room in the same team for them. And I think we need to build are midfield up from more solid and robust foundations than Arteta to be honest. I'd like to see Fernades + a ball winner in centre midfield. Someone like Reid at Blackburn could do the job I believe. Add a pacy wide man to that lot and we're in business. Costs though.

I think artetas pride was hit last season because he was carrying an injury and not on top of his game,subsequently i think he will be [Poor language removed] hot this season and would still be the 1st name on the teamsheet for me fernandes included.
I agree with you on a ballwinner in the middle with manny.

Arteta and Manny would be the starting point for a good midfield for me although I agree we need a enforcer a Carsley Type only more talented on the ball (y)
