According to Bobble and his team. Moyes wants experience and leaders for this summer. Probably a reason why those type of players are been linked. Would they be my choice? No. Me personally I think we need 6 players in the summer. RB, LB, CB, CDM, LW and a CF. We also need to add pace in the team. If we had more pace in this team, imo we would have gotten a few more points, especially at home.

I think the fee was too much for Everton if remember correctly. Isn’t he out of contract in the summer? Everton wanted to pay up to £12m, West Ham wanted £15m plus.

It’s going to be an interesting window and wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of noise comes out about turmoil between Moyes and the rest of the committee. Clearly not on the same page of recruitment policy.

Definitely, we need leaders with how much we squandered results late in the game recently.

I wouldn't wonder about that. Probably this is also why Kev Thelwell left. The singing of Alcaraz and profile he wanted to bring with Wesley and Truffert that we couldn't afford in January 2025, but surely had a chance to get in summer might indicate the direction.

However, Moyes mentioned in a few presses that he wanted to make the squad younger, which is obvious as we've had one of the oldest squads in the league for years.

There are players like O Brien and Garner who made a good step forward, but he will never be the manager that will bring on players like Harrison Armstrong constantly that made a few promising games, but then suddenly haven't had any minutes anymore.

I also listen to the bobble and he’s also said there’s no new contract on the table at present. But also not planning on getting rid at the moment. He also said Moyes wasn’t the man they wanted and wouldn’t have got the job if dyche had seen out the season
If he has their full backing surely he’d have a new deal already

Folks .... maybe think better and bigger. I like Davey Moyes. A hard-working grafter with old school values but little enough ambition and plenty of caution and not the right move for the club going forward imo. Look at Iraola, Emery and Glasner as the Euro coaching template for modern functional clubs.

in 2013 he walked into Old Trafford after 11 unchallenged, frustrating, up and down, hit and miss years at Goodison Park and thought he could run that crowd like he had at Everton where Blue Bill got down on his hands and knees and thanked the lord he had someone who could keep the club in the division.

Long gone were the days of challenging the elite for EFC. Plus ça change in 2026. He's still the manager ....new stadium.... same mentality.

He brought similar mid-table minded coaches to his big shot after Fergie's departure, the notoriously agricultural brute-force pre-season drills, and the explicit caution that coloured his Toffees tenure were on display. There was transfer incompetence aplenty.

He told a multi million pound squad to run to a beach from a hotel in pre-season because that's 'what we did at Everton.' No surprise they ran him out quickly.

He’s a good manager for a certain level, but he's made a balls of jobs (Sunderland and Real Sociedad). He wasn’t a victim of circumstance he was out of his depth. Let's dream better at Everton

How can they be duds if he didn’t get his signings he wanted? He had to compromise on signings, hence why majority haven’t kicked a ball. I’m not saying we had a chance of signing Etikite but that was Moyes dream signing for the striker position.

So you’re saying he was being totally unrealistic coveting the likes of Ekitike then? Surely that is a dereliction of duty as he’s supposed to be this great custodian of the Club. Instead he was fawning over players he had no chance of getting and wasted valuable time and money waiting for them. Bit like me hanging on to book a trip to the Seychelles with Ana de Armas and ending up with a day trip to Grimsby with Diane Abbott

Sounds like the woolly hat fella is hedging his bets doesn’t it, who’d have guessed.

Seems a good fella to be fair and i like listening to him, he did a live show a few weeks ago and was taking about a certain player and within minutes it was on facebook. So he obviously needs to be careful with information.
