2025/26 David Moyes

So you’re saying he was being totally unrealistic coveting the likes of Ekitike then? Surely that is a dereliction of duty as he’s supposed to be this great custodian of the Club. Instead he was fawning over players he had no chance of getting and wasted valuable time and money waiting for them. Bit like me hanging on to book a trip to the Seychelles with Ana de Armas and ending up with a day trip to Grimsby with Diane Abbott
Im not sure if we went in for him but he was the dream target for the forward position.

I also listen to the bobble and he’s also said there’s no new contract on the table at present. But also not planning on getting rid at the moment. He also said Moyes wasn’t the man they wanted and wouldn’t have got the job if dyche had seen out the season
If he has their full backing surely he’d have a new deal already
I don’t listen to a lot of the podcasts as much but did this week. Pretty sure he said he isn’t going anywhere this summer though. Obviously that can change over night but as of that recording hes gonna be in charge next season.

Definitely, we need leaders with how much we squandered results late in the game recently.

I wouldn't wonder about that. Probably this is also why Kev Thelwell left. The singing of Alcaraz and profile he wanted to bring with Wesley and Truffert that we couldn't afford in January 2025, but surely had a chance to get in summer might indicate the direction.

However, Moyes mentioned in a few presses that he wanted to make the squad younger, which is obvious as we've had one of the oldest squads in the league for years.

There are players like O Brien and Garner who made a good step forward, but he will never be the manager that will bring on players like Harrison Armstrong constantly that made a few promising games, but then suddenly haven't had any minutes anymore.
It’s a tricky one isn’t it? It’s obvious they all aren’t on the same page regarding what type of players we should be signing.

I think Moyes will only give youth a chance if he full trusts them. I don’t think he cares about how good or talented they are but comes down to trust. It’s a weird one with him, always has been with youth.

No he never said that, may have said in his opinion he won’t be going anywhere. And I don’t think he will, But for all the bobble knows, nobody will know exactly what TFG and the committee are thinking

Ah ok maybe I miss heard but from what he’s saying with his opinion typically means he’s 100% certain he won’t be replaced this summer.

Jep, it's a strange thing. At one time we got Harrison Armstrong back from loan due to AFCON and the injury crisis. He started a few games in a row at CM, CAM and RM and did look like a prem ready player, but then suddenly he didn't get any game time anymore.
