2025/26 David Moyes

Well, if Carlo Ancelotti - who was destined for two more Champions League titles (and possibly a World Cup...) would, then I'm sure Oliver Glasner would at least weigh us up as an option.

If, of course, our owners are genuinely ambitious people.

If there were any top clubs in for Ancelotti at the time he wouldn’t have come to Everton. There will be top clubs in for Glasner.

And yet we've attracted Dyche,Lampard and the Spanish waiter,on that huge money. Plus Ancelotti who got us to the heady highs of 10th and left us with some overpaid residents of the treatment tables.
A big reason that we have ended up with those managers is Bill Kenwright's old fashioned British is best, Premier League experience is essential nonsense (Allardyce, Dyche, Lampard) and Moshiri/Usmanov's big name boners (Ancelotti, Benitiez). We've had crap managers becuase we've had crap owners and chairmen. My biggest worry in replacing Moyes is TFG, I have no idea if they have the imagination of the owners of better run clubs, their stewardship at Roma suggests not.

New flag from The1878s being revealed on Monday apparently. Coming out in support of the manager and launching the Moyes Defence League.
We all need to get behind the flag.

Ancelotti was but with far bigger clubs than us. As for the ambition of our owners,I've a feeling it's to sell on a shiny stadium at a profit.

I don’t think we will because it would be the equivalent of “trying” for Alan Shearer when he’d already signed for Newcastle. Glasner will have already spoken to his next employers at this point, spoiler alert, it isn’t us.
I don't think we will because I don't think we are in the market for a new manager.

Palace literally played in a European semi final yesterday, which they qualified for by winning a domestic cup. Two achievements that eclipse anything Moyes has done here.

The same trophy that Moyes won.
This is his first full season back after taking over the club a point outside the relegation place. What was your expectation? A go at Europe? We're 2 points off it.

I don't disagree.

I suppose the question then is: even if they want to sell us on (and they are businesspeople, nothing intrinsically wrong with flipping us), what do they intend to do to make us more attractive when the time comes?

This summer will tell a tale.

Since the Premier League started? I think there's only 6 who've been there the whole time and a very big chance of that number being 5 soon
Was referring to clubs who have been here like most of the time. Villa, Wham, etc. yeah, a couple have been down for a season or 2 but I don't think of the premier League without them being in it. Oddly enough that doesn't include City. Just think nothing they do has any prestige with how they've been run.
