2025/26 David Moyes

The irony is im not even a huge Moyes fan. I can take or leave him. But the contstant shoeing of him i will defend. Who scored the winning goal in the cup final for Glazner. Eze. Who they then sold for 60m. How much was guehi about to go to liverpool for before he ran his contract down, 75m? Steve parish is quoting clubs 100m plus for adam wharton.
He's had the benefit of a very good squad Glazner.
There is no link between them in the conference league and Moyes. We're not even in it lol.
And we won't be in it why moyes is manager, ho ho.

The evidence strongly suggests Moyes is good enough to have his team qualifying for Europe through the league. We are still in with a shout this season despite having a seriously flawed team with inadequate full backs and strikers. There is a clear route to Champions League (and trophies, obviously) through the other European competitions which, to his credit, Glasner has Palace in the mix for, but that doesn't mean we don't as well.

The evidence also suggests Moyes has a ceiling re domestic competitions and competing against the strongest sides which fans can't accept, and that's completely understandable. But making out that he's an incompetent manager comparable with Sean Dyche seems ignorant to me.

Blah blah, then point out were I mentioned dyche please.

Can knock Glasner all you want but if he leaves Palace having won the FA Cup, community shield, and conference league, whilst qualifying for Europe twice, it’s a lot better than anything any Everton manager has done for a long long time.

If he came to Everton and delivered a clutch of trophies and then left us after a few seasons in mid table I’d take that right now over a few more seasons of winning nothing.
And he's also won the Europa League with Eintracht Frankfurt, taking then to the German Cup final and into the Champions League in the process.

That's a track record.

The people knocking Glasner are out of their minds. He's won more pots with Palace than this club has won in 30 years and may well win another this season with a wage budget lower than ours. Someone a few posts up from this one is claiming that Moyes would have them higher in the league, which is such a weird flex, it's basically "forget about those trophies and the European football that comes with it, Moyes would have them up in 10th" as if that's some sort of upgrade, even if it were true. The mental gymnastics that some participate in to denigrate someone who actually wins things to big up Moyes who has won one trophy of note in his entire 28 year managerial career is quite the spectacle. Losers love losers, I guess.

I think this is the dumbest argument against change ever. And, importantly, not that I think your opinion is invalid, just that it's absolutely insane dumb for the highlighted part. There are roughly 12 teams that are "ever present" in the Premier League. We are one of them. We also pay INSANE wages for managers. We paid Carlo 10m a year. It's the biggest league in world football. "oh, who would EVER want to come try to be manager of EVERTON!??" MFer, Chelsea are going to be on their 4th this year. Spurs are on their 3rd. Managers are going to come because it is, by far, the most lucrative opportunity 99% of these people will ever have. And they ALLLLLL think they have what it takes. There are about 20 managers in world football that wouldn't, at LEAST, be interested in speaking with Everton should the opening arrive. Klopp, Zidane, etc. Either there are personal conflicts or they are just THAT fn big.
And yet we've attracted Dyche,Lampard and the Spanish waiter,on that huge money. Plus Ancelotti who got us to the heady highs of 10th and left us with some overpaid residents of the treatment tables.

But would he realistically come to mid table Everton? Think he destined for bigger things.

Well, if Carlo Ancelotti - who was destined for two more Champions League titles (and possibly a World Cup...) would, then I'm sure Oliver Glasner would at least weigh us up as an option.

If, of course, our owners are genuinely ambitious people.
