2025/26 David Moyes

First one is below us in the league table.
Second one is above us by 2 points.
3rd one was sacked.
4th one has done nothing since he left Spurs.

If any of those managers wanted to come to us, I would be amazed if they improved us.
Of course the first two would. Attacking play players in there proper positions. Decent fullbacks and wingers, make you want watch again.

This club is like a child riding a bike terrified to take off the stabilisers. Sure, you'll never have an accident if you keep them on, but you won't learn to cycle either - and you'll be laughed at by your peers who are zooming by.

We should change our club badge one more time for the modern era. Get rid of the tower - and certainly any laurel wreathes. Replace with a straitjacket and a padded cell.

Appointing a new manager does not change the players.
It changes the mentality though - like for example how Moyes left all those years ago and Martinez instantly made the exact same squad perform WELL better.

It did fall apart for Boberto quickly due to his own stubbornness, but we don't have to pretend that his first season wasn't an instant change for us, after a decade of "knife to a gunfight".

I never seen people fight so hard to maintain mediocrity, and I appreciate what Moyes did last season but it's clear his tendencies to overly cautious in his tactics and team selection are creating barriers to winning pivotal matches. After today unless he pulls off some miraculous form that somehow brings European football, he shouldn't be in the conversation to manage us next season, although the notion of not seeing Soucek in an everton kit will be excruciating....

Yeah, your first line sums it up.

Imagine going out on a limb to defend millionaire mediocrity David Moyes. I mean, if he won us a trophy of two in his 13 years you could understand the affection and loyalty. But he won nothing and ran out on us - making millions in the process and bottling every major game he has played when a genuine achievement was in touching distance.

He's had people off for years. Bill would be so proud. Like father, like son.
